    General Manager (Finance and Administration)

    Job Dimension

    • Formulation and implementation of major functional policies and plans that can make a considerable impact on the longer term performance of the organization;
    • Establishment and promoting sound financial management and accounting practices, management information systems as well as niaking strategic contribution in Human Resources planning and development and provides efficient administrative support.
    • Judgment and initiative in dealing with problems especially where there are no guidelines and precedents;
    • Finding solutions to problems which lack clear definition and may necessitate strategic thinking,
    • Development of new concepts and approaches or entrepreneurial actions;
    • Meeting contacts at highest level with a particular emphasis on external relations and which require very considerable communication, advocacy and persuading skills
    • The work is multidisciplinary and involves making a broad range of highly diverse
    • Ability to undertake extensive traveling throughout the country.

    Qualifications and experience

    • A good first degree or its equivalent from a reputable University in Accounting.
    • Post graduate qualification in Administration, Management or related fields
    • Certification in or professional membership of Accounting or related bodies
    • Good Knowledge of computer Accounting software
    • Minimum of 10 years post NYSC
    • Minimum of 5 years iv relevant industry
    • Attendance of related courses, seminars etc.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

    • Age not more than 50 years as at last birthday and physically fit
    • High level of professional and managerial competence required in directing amid controlling activities
    • Must be of high integrity.
    • Good knowledge and practical experience in financial planning and budgeting process
    • Good knowledge of human resources planning and development
    • Ability to evolve administrative and personnel policies and procedures to meet organization's business objectives
    • Good knowledge of accounting standards, lair and labor laws and regulatory guidelines relevant to the health insurance sector
    • Excellent communication, leadership, planning and organization, people management and negotiation skills
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
