    ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL TECHNICIAN (Field Base)

    Key Job Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of I&E equipment, production processes and equipment and maintains continuous monitoring to ensure that the plant is operating within normal parameters.
    • Carry out/ensure process isolations as described in the safe working practices and procedures and ensure that all Company guidelines and regulatory requirements and procedures are strictly adhered to.
    • Plan and prioritize work in accordance with Supervisor's instructions especially those that impact production and other facilities operations.
    • Ensures that an accurate and comprehensive I&E log is maintained while on duty.
    • I&E Technicians must be able to make safety a core value and have adequate behavioral/communicatlon skills to demonstrate such values .
    • Performs highly skilled instrument and electronic repairs and/or supports others in doing so in a timely manner in accordance with manufacturer's spedflcations/normal operating procedures.
    • Performs detailed maintenance and calibration of process controls in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications/normal operating procedures without re-work.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in programmable logic control and distributive control systems.
    • Understanding and applying Safe Practices in an offshore environment.
    • Maintaining HVAC and refrigeration system.
    • Diagnose and test hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    • Work on actuators, pumps, solenoids, valves, motors, bearings and pulleys,
    • Work on sensors, plc modules, electrical and hydraulic relays and other controls.

    Skills:

    • Must have very good inter-personal and communication skills.
    • Computer literate in Microsoft suite.
    • Ability to read P&IDs and schematics will be an added advantage.
    • Successful candidate will undergo a twelve month intensive vocational training and additional twelve months on-the-job training.

    Required Qualifications:

    • National Diploma (OND) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in
    • Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering. 3-5 years post NYSC relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
