    Head, Company Legal and Regulatory Affairs (Ref 002)

    Responsibilities
    Provide advisory services on issues that relate to legal and regulatory requirements and liaise with relevant regulatory bodies
    Manage relationships with external solicitors and ensure compliance with agreed service levels
    Manage all corporate affairs and communications on behalf of the organisation
    Draft, negotiate, administer, interpret and advise on .agreements, letters, forms, and other legal documents related to the organisation as required
    Participate in the articulation of the organisation's strategic goals and objectives
    Review and authorise all expenditure/transactions of the legal deportment in line with the approved departmental budget and the organisation's manual of authority
    Provide all guidance, leadership support and strategic direction in the execution of the legal deportment's functions and activities
    Keep abreast of best practices, changes in regulation, amendment of enabling laws and proactively advise the business accordingly

    Qualifications and Experience
    Must have a first degree in Law (LL.B.)
    A moster's degree (LL.M.) in commercial low is on added advantage
    Minimum of 8-10 years post qualification experience which includes a combination of experience in a law firm and the manufacturing /financial services sectors
    Prior experience in business investmenttransactions
    Membership of relevanf local and international associations
    In-depth knowledge of international, local business and commercial law
    Excellent leadership/supervisory and people management skills
    Strong problem-solving and creative skills
    Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
    Sound business acumen
    Good negotiation and influencing skills
