    Youth Advocacy Consultant

    Purpose of the assignment and main tasks:

    • Under the supervision of the Project Manager of Tomorrow is a New Day, the consultant will develop and implement a full-fledged advocacy strategy for promoting the overarching advocacy objectives of TND II:
    • Review the Common Ground Advocacy training manual and adapt it to the context of the Niger-Delta.
    • Conduct Training of Trainers (TOT) for programme officers of SFCG and implementing partners in Port Harcourt. Rivers State.
    • Supervise the step-down of the Advocacy training in target communities in Abia, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers States
    • Deliver a comprehensive report at the end of the consultancy period detailing the review ofthe manual, trainings and outcomes ofthe training.

    Required Skills and Experience
    Education:

    • Masters' Degree in Gender studies, International Development, education or other field related to Gender equality.

    Experience:

    • At least 7 years of working with International organisations, government agencies or NGOs of which, three (3) years' experience is on working on women and youth human rights issues.
    • Previous experience in Youth oriented projects will be an advantage.
    • The total duration of the consultancy is for 30 days.
