    Assistant Country Exams Manager

    Salary: Pay band 7 £25,250 per annum plus core international mobility package Contract: Fixed-term contract 2 years plus possibility of 1 years extension Location; Abuja, Nigeria Closing Date: 15 December 2014 at 23:59 UK time Start date: ASAP

    Due to continued success and ambitious expansion plans, we are currently looking for an Assistant Country Exams Manager to join the team in Abuja, Nigeria. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to move into the Exams business. We welcome applications from senior teachers especially those with a background in  customer service, compliance, or examiner training.

    Nigeria has the largest project, programme and exams operations in Sub-Saharan Africa. The exams business in Nigeria has grown significantly in recent years and to aid further expansion, we are setting up a new IELTS preparation course teaching centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the  administration of teacher management, service delivery and business development of this new centre.

    The main duties of this role will be:

    • Examinations delivery- Quality standards, security and compliance 
    • Customer service- To improve customer service in Abuja
    • IELTS Preparation Courses-  To manage the design and launch IELTS prep courses in Nigeria
    • Relationship Management- To assist with developing and managing relationships with stakeholders
    • Business Development and Management-  To assist the Country Examinations Manager (CEM) in developing and implementing examinations business plans for Nigeria 
    • Financial Planning and Management- Planning, forecasting, Monitoring and reporting on exams budgets
    • HR, Line Management and Building Management Capacity- mentoring, line management
    • The successful candidate will have a first degree, a DELTA or Trinity DipTESOL as well as at least 2 years post TEFL-Q teaching and management experience.
