PRINCIPAL PETROPHYSICIST at U-Connect Human Resources Consulting

Interested Candidates should have the following:
• Degree qualifications in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience or related relevant discipline.
• Extensive experience in Oil and Gas upstream business
• Experience in direct petrophysical interpretation and well evaluation operations or managing such operations.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in a range of environments, including for example: clastics and carbonates; oil and gas fields; complex mineralogy and fluids; old/Russian style logs and interpretation; E&A, mature and depleted fields; etc.
• Experience of using all available data for petrophysical interpretation, geology, structural data, wireline logs, MWD/LWD, core, SCAL, well test, formation pressure test, fluids analysis, drilling records, mud logs and cuttings reports.
• Experience and expertise in cased hole and production logging as well as open hole interpretation.
• Knowledge of international regulations and standards and good oilfield practice as it relates to well evaluation.
• Experience of setting up and conducting petrophysical studies and working in integrated subsurface teams.
• Knowledge and experience of all types of well evaluation and studies
• Able to communicate, present and express the results of petrophysical studies, make recommendations on petrophysical needs and resource requirements, impact of petrophysics on subsurface evaluation.
• Good people skills in disparate environments.
