Our Client, a reputable capital market investment company has given us the task to source a Chief Technology Officer who has quality and practical experience to manage the digital technology business unit of the company.

The Client’s office is located in Somolu Lagos state, Nigeria.

JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

The CTO will drive the digital technology business unit of the company and will report directly to the CEO. He/She and will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company.

He/She will be responsible for making all executive decisions with regards to the technological interests of a company. They are responsible for outlining the company's technological vision, implementing technology strategies, and ensuring that the technological resources are aligned with the company's business needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setting the company technical vision and leading company’s technological development
• ·  Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services
• Identifying opportunities for web and mobile services
• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services
• Maintaining a customer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivering of IT projects to market.
• Managing technology budgets and time frames
• Staying on top of technology trends and developments in order to maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and developments
• Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, and operations as advisor of all technologies involved with company
• Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
• Monitoring web analytics and making recommendations that align to business goals
• Supervising quality assurance processes, integration, and system tests
• Establishing software development process and set objectives for process
• Mentoring team members
• Identifying company web user needs
• Monitoring performance profiling tools and procedures
• Consolidate our technology platforms and create plans for each
• Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics
• Assess and anticipate technological projects and recommend appropriate action and resources
• Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity
• Spearhead IT projects to increase our market reach and improve our USP
• Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture
• Representing company at conferences and networking events

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; Master’s degree in information technology or a technology-related discipline preferred
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in software development role, information technology role, or related field; five years in management or leadership role
• Experience with technology relative to industry such as but not limited to:
• .Net, PHP, Android-Java, Java Enterprise, JavaFX, Python, C++, SQL (Oracle DBMS, MySQL DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, HTML 5, CSS (Foundation / Bootstrap), JQuery, Angular-JS, Ajax, Rest Web-services consumption, jQuery, Angular, AWS, IIS, GitHub, Grunt/Gulp, Node.JS, Java/C.
• Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
