    Design Consultant

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Develop and utilize sales skills and principals including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, customized portfolio presentations, answering objections, closing, follow-up after sale service and continuing contact with all previous and potential customers.
    • Show a sense of urgency, enthusiasm and excitement with the rest of the team.
    • Maintain strong knowledge of the features and benefits of existing and new product lines.
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with all branch staff and promote team cohesion.
    • Adhere to general store operational procedures and guidelines.
    • Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs, including lighting, furniture, tables and accessory recommendations as well as the benefits of our professional installation service.
    • Develop design solutions by selling company products and services consistent with customer’s preference and budget.
    • Evaluate customer’s needs by asking specific, well thought-out questions in order to provide unique design solutions.
    • Utilize strong interpersonal skills, selling skills, active listening, professional attitude and represent the company with integrity and professionalism.
    • Build and maintain a high level of product knowledge related to furniture, home furnishings, and related accessories, including a strong understanding of construction features.
    • Provide complete individualized design solution based on identified customer need to close sale.
    • Explain complicated design services provided by the company to customers.
    • Upgrade knowledge on current design and colour trends to create fashionable design solutions.
    • Coordinate branch team to provide exceptional after-sale services to customers.
    • Responsible for achieving sales, delivery and project goals.
    • Stay current on interior design trends in both local and national markets.

    Other Requirements:

    • Must have at least a University Degree
