Front End Developer at Insiteful Solutions and Consult Nigeria Limited

Reports to: CEO/MD or Director of Projects  

Job Purpose:
Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and back end developer to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Consume and interpret software requirements
• Design a standard and scalable approach to development of user interface based on requirements
• Develop frontend applications using JavaScript
• Create frameworks to develop applications
• Research and propose plugins and frameworks to further boost productivity in development
• Communicate work plans and implementation effectively with team members or clients
• Adhere strictly to development style guide
• Attend conferences, workshops and seminars organized or proposed by the organization to boost productivity
• Write tests to ensure proper functioning of modules developed
• Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
• Optimize existing user interface designs
• Perform any other tasks as require

Requirements/Qualifications:

Core Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a front end developer or similar role
• Knowledge of wireframe tools like Figma, Wireframe.cc or InDesign (Figma preferred)
• Good knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proven use of HTML5 & CSS3 & SASS
• Good knowledge of Javascript
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Good understanding of product specifications and user psychology

Nice-to-haves:

• Proficiency in JavaScript ES6
• Good knowledge of Vue.js
• Good knowledge of Front-end/Back-end interaction
