PRINTING OF CHMIS REGISTER AND MONTHLY SUMMARY FORMS STRENGTHENING HEALTH OUTCOMES FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN (SHOW) PROJECT SOKOTO
Purpose of the Assignment:
Plan International Nigeria is implementing the Global Affairs Canada funded Strengthening Health Outcome of Women and Children (SHOW) project with support from Plan International Canada. The project seeks to contribute to the reduction of maternal and child mortality in targeted regions among marginalized and vulnerable women, especially adolescent girls and their children. A three pronged, gender integrated theory of change is embedded in the Project’s immediate outcomes, including 1100 (Demand), 1200 (Supply) and 1300 (Accountability). This would effectively ensure increased knowledge of MNCH issues, improved social capital, improved gender and adolescent responsiveness in service delivery and an enhanced capacity of government health officers and service providers in utilizing data for effective planning.
CHMIS register has been printed by the project in June 2018 for 244 wards to serve for 6 months. Data has been collected from the 244 wards according to the DHIS database and currently LGAS M&E officers are using photocopy of monthly summary form to capture date for the month of February 2019. Sokoto has been the 98% completion since inception in 2017 to date.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the activity is:
Print CHMIS register and distributed to the 244 wards
Main activities
Engage vendor to print the register and MSF for CHMIS
Key target beneficiary population
244 wards
2440 CBHVs
Gender equality actions:
Review CHMIS data and ensure is in line with Project co value
Include GE as a standing agenda item
Develop probing questions to support a discussion that promotes gender analysis and consideration in the meeting
