    Asset Management Associate

    Objective of Role
    This position serves as the group financial analyst by providing resources and assistance in financial analyses and forecasts for current and prospective (development, rehabilitation or acquisition) of real estate projects.
    This position reports directly to the head of asset management

    Key tasks:

    • Maintain project forecasts, market values, cost data, prospective leasing/marketing information, property information package, joint venture investment analysis
    • Monitor and analyze conditions in specified commercial real estate markets, utilizing ARIA’S internal and external economic demographic trends and report on key developments
    • Contribute, based on market analysis and assessment to the development of proprietary, forward looking perspectives on anticipate performance in the assigned property type(s)
    • Significant participation in in strategy and property planning process
    • Participate in acquisitions and due diligence teams, finance and tax planning activities, business projects and activities, process improvements systems coordination and other multi-functional duties.
    • Liaise with Investors and banks on Company’s Assets and facilities
    • Develop and Implement strategies, policies and Process documents / operating procedures for Asset management.
    • Offer advisory services on investment and keeping track of prevailing market conditions to determine best real estate investment options
    • Assess and effectively manage all the risks associated with business objectives and activities to ensure that these are in alignment with the unit's risk appetite and risk management Framework
    • Review of abstract legal documents including lease, operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements


    Required skills

    • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all work products and deliverables
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills
    • Expert interpretation of financial data
    • Ability to act independently on tasks in an entrepreneurial environment
    • Strong organization skills
    • In-depth analytical skills

    Qualifications

    • A first degree in Economics, Finance or any related field
    • Strong team player with excellent leadership skills
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Good people management skills
    • 3-5 years’ experience in analyzing commercial real estate markets
    • Professional qualification would be an added advantage
