    Business Development Lead

    Job Description
    In this role at InstaDeep, you will:

    • Drive Business Development to support the success of the company. This role is integral to the growth of the business and you will have responsibility for driving revenue generation, increasing leads and projects, and building new strategic relationships with third parties who provide third-party distribution for the company's services.
    • In the role, you will manage a Business Development team of account managers and sales engineers and ensure the whole client portfolio and projects are managed to the highest standard exceeding client expectations.
    • You are responsible for following up with the team to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met. An ability to motivate, support and encourage the team is crucial.
    • You will be in charge of the full sales cycle, from actively seeking new business opportunities to client on-boarding and retention. As a trusted point of contact between InstaDeep and our clients, you will work on developing new business opportunities from existing clients by anticipating and proposing new applications of AI to customers’ needs. You will have the ability to develop new relationships with corporates as well as leveraging existing network connections.
    • You will be responsible for creating a robust and long-term sales pipeline. Supported by your team, you will ensure the projects in the pipeline are constantly evolving and managed accordingly.
    • Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Senior Management, Business Development and Product Solution departments) and act as a bridge between the internal data science team and the client
    • You will be responsible for constantly improving the entire customer experience and manage client satisfaction. An ability to handle and assist challenging client requests, or issue escalations as needed, is essential.
    • Frequent international travel will be required in this role, as well as regular visits to the client at their offices.

    Requirements

    • A B.A/B.S Degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field and/or MBA
    • Proven sales experience for a solutions business
    • Experience of (or understanding) of generating leads in an entrepreneurial scale up, fast-paced environment (or similar). Need an ability to adapt if used to corporate structure with brand profile, process etc.
    • Extensive experience in Business Development or a similar role (ideally management consulting)
    • Results driven Proven track record of personality generating sales from scratch
    • Knowledge of Machine Learning and more complex techniques with key understanding of how this can add value to clients
    • Broad cross-industry knowledge
    • Entrepreneurial spirit
    • Management experience
    • A strong background in relationship building and stakeholder engagement
    • Strong networking skills. Evidence of utilising contacts and networks to generate leads
    • Proven commercial and financial acumen
    • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills in English
    • Self-aware and able to adopt a behavioural style to clients/prospective clients
