    Videographer

    JOB SUMMARY

    Scope: Shall be responsible for the production of high quality videos, skits, adverts and documentaries suitable for TV broadcast at the HOTR by creating content, shooting, scripting, directing, filming and video editing TV productions from conception to delivery with given timelines.

    Product: High quality videos suitable for TV broadcasts.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The ability to developing different captivating and engaging concepts for the different ministries.
    • The ability to capture, record and edit events in order to create high standard videos fit for all ministry events.
    • The ability to use the latest camera, lighting and audio equipment.

    The ability to create and edit motion graphics to an excellent standard using a variety of software listed (but not limited to):

    • Adobe After Effects
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Final Cut Pro X (Mac)
    • Adobe Photoshop

    To be able to deliver broadcast Quality production including video greetings, TV Ads, short documentaries and any other

    • Required to have knowledge and understanding of most matters relating to videography, Photography, lighting for capturing stills.
    • Required to have knowledge and understanding of various filming techniques such as Indoor and outdoor filming, ‘filming on the go’, interview-based filming.
    • Set up and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio, video recorders, lighting equipment and microphones for location and studio production
    • To work closely with the Events/EO/Creative and any other Department in order to deliver creative and original ideas and write good quality scripts
    • Assist in developing interview questions and storyboards
    • To be able to determine what camera equipment are necessary and obtain equipment
    • Accurately archive existing video assets.
    • Create archiving standards for future use, such as naming conventions and file size/type requirements.
    • To be able to keep all video audio equipment in good working order, replacing pieces where necessary.

    • Coordinating and working with  teams to produce different production for specific events

    MACHINES AND OTHER EQUIPMENT USED

    • The job will require regular use with the following equipment.
    • Latest camera equipment (digital cameras, video recording cameras).
    • Lighting equipment (spotlights, handheld lights).
    • Audio equipment (microphones).

    SPECIFICATIONS

    Minimum Education:

    University Degree in Film production or related field

    Other:

    • A relevant qualification in video editing/videography.
    • A video portfolio of original work

    Minimum Experience:

    5 years’ Videography experience in a reputable organization

    Core Competencies / Skills / Abilities:

    • High proficiency in using Apple Mac & PC computers.
    • High proficiency in using: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro , Final Cut Pro X (Mac)
    •  Excellent time management and organization skills: The ability to plan, schedule and meet deadlines.

    • To be able to deliver content to various social media platforms e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. 
    • Basic level knowledge of using Photoshop or photo editing suits. 
    • Experience in editing both long & short form video content.
    • Creative thinking, script writing, creative writing and storytelling.
    • Attention to detail: keen attention to detail to make precise edits to create engaging and captivating productions.
    • Knowledge
    • Knowledge and experience of sourcing video material/footages from a wide range of open sourced as well as licensed video/image libraries.
