Job Summary:

The job holder is responsible for determining present value & performance of current treasury (Liability Generation) products as well as their possible future business abilities, by analysing financial information and making projections that would enhance informed and correct business decisions.

Key Result Areas

1. Business Performance Effectiveness

• Analyze intelligence about performance of existing treasury products and strategically aid product development to optimize liquidity.
• Research on information relevant to the company’s markets and on debt to equity funding options available for the company.
• Forecast and model future funding needs for the organization, according to various planning scenarios.
• Participate in cross-functional projects with investments, development, accounting and other internal groups.

1. ​​​​​​​2 Risk Management & Control

• Understand, maintain, and support the execution of interest rate risk management strategy.
•  Perform minimal research and creating structure behind possible mergers and acquisition.
• Ensure compliance with financial corporate governance requirements including policies, procedures, reporting requirements, performance metrics and internal controls.
• Perform financial modelling and analysis related to interest expense and financial metric forecasting for internal controls and debt covenant compliance.

1. 3 Reports

• Support production of presentations for board, investor relations and other key constituents.
• Prepare, analyze, and communicate financial results for treasury products to various stakeholders
• Present ideas via reports and presentations, outline findings and make recommendations for improvements.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualification & Functional/Technical Skill or Certification

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admiration, Economics or a related field
•  Proficient in statistical & analytical knowledge

Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the financial services sector
