    Purpose of Role
    Support the Reward Manager in Driving GNPlc’s Performance and Reward agenda by developing, implementing and managing Reward and Recognition frameworks and processes to align with the Organisation and People strategy and values, attract, retain and motivate talent to deliver outstanding performance that leverages business performance.

    Qualifications

    •     University degree

    Brand Manager

    Purpose

    •     Develop the long term strategy and annual implementation plan for Guinness Nigeria & Diageo Brands Nigeria Ltd. Responsible for managing & supervising content development for search engines (SEO) & social media (SMO); whilst ensuring that our digital footprint performs exceptionally well in search engines.
    •     Develop the long term strategy and annual implementation plan for GN & DBN brands. Responsible for managing & supervising content development for search engines (SEO) & social media (SMO).

    Context/Scope

    •     Guinness Nigeria plc is a strategically important market for Diageo and for the Guinness brand globally being the #2 Market globally by volume. We are also leading the Digital Marketing space for Diageo Brands in Africa.
    •     The emergence of mobile phone technology as the primary medium of communications within Nigeria (102mn users) has led to a dramatic shift in emphasis from conventional to emerging media.

    Financial

    •     Annual A&P spend of approximately 74 Billion Naira (GBP£32mn).
    •     Management and Accountability for implementation of some portion of the A&P spend

    Leadership and Functional Responsibilities

    •     Total programme management of the Guinness VIP Digital RM programme. (Guinness VIP SEO, m.guinnessvip.com, PR releases, offline assets), GN & DBN Social Media platforms and other web & mobile platforms of the company.
    •     Developing both SEO/SMO strategies and content optimisation guidelines and providing concrete instructions for day to day activities for digital and offline channels.

    The successful candidate will have a proven record of the following:

    •     Digital Marketing: will be a proven functional expert in this field in addition to regular FMCG Brand Marketing experience. Extensive content briefing, creation, optimization and content strategy experience in order to be able to drive content optimization for GN&DBN digital community.
    •     Consumer Insights & Data Analytics Experience: Analytics and fact-based decision making leveraging consumer insights. Passionate about numbers and actions impacting them. Experience with Google Analytics, &/Or Radian6 Analytics tool.
    •     Commerciality: Uses performance measurement & sound financial managementt
    •     Excellence in Execution: Delivers high quality results consistently.

    Top 3 Accountabilities

    •     Assist and support the Head, Media & IMC to deliver the AOP growth aspirations in F14 and beyond.
    •     Develop and execute ambitious recruitment plans for core brands and other Digital initiatives to be the market leader in Nigeria of Digital Communications.
    •     Support & inspire the rest of the Brand Teams as well as collaboratively support the GN plc Customer Marketing team, GN DMC custodian and global DMC custodians ensuring full adherence to DMC and Digital Code of Practice.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    •     University degree in marketing / business or other related discipline preferred though not essential.
    •     Postgraduate Qualifications an advantage.
    •     Proven experience of Digital marketing strategy development and implementation (min 2-3 years).
    •     Proven and strong Brand and Trade marketing experience (4-6 years)

    •     10-12 years of post-qualification experience in nursing practice and at least 5years experience working in an industrial setting.
    •     Proactive in decision-making especially in confidential matters.
    •     Swift to impart knowledge / information on relevant issues as relates to the job.
    •     Computer literacy is mandatory.

    Demand Planning Manager

    Job Title: Demand Planning Manager

    • The Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities for Guinness Nigeria and Diageo Brands Nigeria associated with customers and products.
    • The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for Guinness Nigeria and Diageo Brands Nigeria customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, sales operation, and other sources (i.e.: Nielsen or other syndicated consumer data).
    • The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and marketing organizations. Basic forecast modeling is the responsibility of this position. This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Sales, Customer Marketing and Marketing.

    Purpose of Role

    • Work with customer marketing, marketing and sales team by providing and maintaining very robust informed and statistically based forecast of forward demand for Guinness Nigeria Plc & Diageo Brands Nigeria
    • Manage monthly demand planning process with proper documentation of assumptions, identified risk and business opportunities for Guinness Nigeria Plc & Diageo Brands Nigeria

    Key Accountabilities

    • Developing baseline statistical forecast using demand planning system
    • Supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S & OP) Manager to embed Sales and operations planning in the market.
    • Maintain demand planning system and software(-Enter & modify data and ensure correctness of product hierarchy,-Monitor trends in forecast error)
    • Providing detailed analysis of forecast trend and accuracy to guide the gap management process
    • Conducting root cause analysis and corrective action planning to understand sales forecast accuracy &Bias
    • Ensure effective Marketing & Evaluation (M&E) analysis of the assumption and input used to develop activity forecast

    Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
    Graduate calibre in the Sciences, Social Sciences or other relevant field.

    • A Master’s degree in business is an added advantage
    • 5 years Supply Chain planning experience with a proven track record including demand, minimum 2 years Supply Chain experience in an FMCG
    • Previous experience of Advanced Planner & Optimiser (APO) & SAP Enterprise Central Components (ECC’s) is preferred
    • Prior experience in similar planning roles preferred (Demand Planning, Production planning, Commercial/Sales Planning etc.)
    • Strong understanding of core Demand Management process and understanding of forecasting heuristics
    • Good knowledge of the end to end supply chain and the impacts of the demand signal

    Barriers to Success in Role

    • Inability to employ analytical skills to contemporary problems.
    • Inability to influence broadly across all internal (across levels) and external stakeholders to achieve expected objectives
