  • Saro is a leading company in the agribusiness Value Chain (Plantaion,Inputs-Provision,Sourcing, Origination and processing) and Consumer Goods Industries in West & Central Africa.
    You are needed if you possess a passion for improving farmer's income, a deep familiarity with Nigerian's agricultural system and extensive knowledge of agricultural marketing.

    Responsibility
    As a value chain Manager,your responsibilities while working across all Saro’s business units will be:

    Working with key stakeholders along the chain including cooperatives,farmers union,traders,wholesalers, and other services service providers to improve the ease of market transactions , to decrease market dysfunctions and to increase farmers income.

    -Developing implementing and supporting a portfolio of initiatives to improve the entire value chain and environment for specific high value commodities.

    -Providing training and ongoing support to stakeholders  where appropriate.

    Location: The jobs are located in West,East and North of  Nigeria and successful candidates for each of these parts will be proficient in the major language of the location he or she would be posted to.

    Qualification;

    Minimum of 2nd Class upper degree in any of the following fields: General Agriculture,Agronomy,Crop protection, Agric Economics,Agric Extension/ Farm management.
    Possession of higher degrees like Msc and or Phd in the above disciplines is compulsory.

    Work Experience:

    Minimum of 7 years work experience (post qualification) with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position in any of the following areas:Agric Extension,Farmers Organization,Crop Protection Industry,Seed Industry,Plantations,Donor Agencies,Farm management etc.
