Job Description

An IT/Digital company that offers services in the areas of technology support, network infrastructure and service assurance is currently looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Execute all visual design stages from conception to Implementation
• Initiate and execute ideas that will bring about improvement of websites and mobile applications
• Conceptualize and create logos, banners, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows etc to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
• Meet clients to identify their needs and liaising regularly with them
• Draw up detailed website specifications
• Register web domain names and organise the hosting of the website
• Present initial design ideas to clients
• Code using a variety of software
• Work with different content management systems
• Meet relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy
• Design the website's visual imagery and ensure it's in line with company branding policy or the requirements of the client
• Proofread content and making changes where necessary
• Edit content, debug code and re-design web pages
• Work with other web specialists including web developers and graphic designers
• Train client's staff
• Research current design trends
• Continual professional development to keep up to date with new software developments

Skills and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience
• Must have and show robust Graphics Design experience and portfolio
• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping will be an advantage
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Must be current and familiar with the latest website trends, techniques, and technologies 

Educational Qualification

• BSc. In Computer Science or any related field
