    Accounts Assistant

    Role

    • Cash Up and Banking lodgements (submit Tapos, close up report & Teller Copies)
    • Posting of Entries (banking of revenue from box, retail and third party lodgement,
    • Writing of PVs and Cheques
    • Tax Issues (WHT & VAT)
    • Petty Cash Administration/Film Reconciliation
    • Preparation of Financial Report
    • Posting of Entries (Excel & Peachtree)
    • Stock Taking and Analysis
    • Getting approval cheques for the week
    • Payment of Suppliers
    • Daily Sales Analysis and summary of petty cash expenses
    • Bank reconciliation statement
    • Postings of transaction (Peachtree Software) - Daily
    • Payment vouchers (daily)
    • Stock inventory item (daily)
    • Revenue - Daily
    • Accounting entries (cost of sales, third party revenue and cost) - Daily
    • Preparation of Financial Statement
    • Balance Sheet
    • Profit and Loss Account - Daily Entries

    Responsibilities

    • Stock Taking and Analysis Getting approval cheques for the week
    • Payment of Suppliers
    • Daily Sales Analysis and summary of petty cash expenses
    • Bank reconciliation statement
    • Postings of transaction (Peachtree Software) - Daily
    • Payment vouchers (daily)
    • Stock inventory item (daily)
    • Revenue - Daily
    • Accounting entries (cost of sales, third party revenue and cost) - Daily
    • Preparation of Financial Statement
    • Balance Sheet
    • Profit and Loss Account - Daily Entries

    Skills/Qualifications required

    • Minimum Educated Level - HND/ BA degree
    • Knowledge of Peachtree accounting software
    • Additional accounting qualifications would be of added advantage
    • People and interpersonal skills, team building
    • Administrative, filing and organisational abilities
    • Must have good communication skills and must be able to coordinate among all departments to find out training possibilities
    • Ability to work under very tight deadlines
    • Computer literacy (MS Office suite - Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
    • Strong work ethic
    • Positive attitude
    • Time management abilities
    • Problem solving skills
    • Working well under pressure
