The responsibilities of Production Superintendent will include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and operate equipment to minimize potential for fugitive losses and accidental oil, gas and chemical spills from plant.
- Supervise all production related operations.
- Execute activities with work force to produce export specification crude in line with the company production forecasts.
- Collate data from the various production sources and analyze for trends and fluctuations.
- Maintain good knowledge of all producing assets by frequent visits to all field facilities.
- Ensure that the execution of production activities by the work force is in line with production operation procedures.
- Communicate performance targets to Installation Manager and senior Management Team.
- Interface with contractors and third parties. Dispose of wastes in a manner that contribute to Operations objectives and targets for waste handling and reduction.
- Monitor / measure production performance to meet environmental monitoring requirements, recording of this performance monitoring; review of performance figures against regulatory and objectives and targets.
- Demonstrate understanding of environmental emissions and resource use and effects from each of the above.
- Ensures operating costs are maintained as for as possible.
- Resolve day-to-day problems and recommend changes required to improve production or to reduce operating.
- Personal and work skills on the job to the able to perform the role of Field Superintendent.
- Collates and reviews all field process and well data from contractors and send the daily operations report and other reports to relevant parties.
- Ensures routine and statutory well tests are performed and accurately reported.
- Ensures that the well management program is effectively and efficiently managed, without any compromise to safety or damage to the well and reservoirs.
- Ensure that good reliable operations data is gathered from the field and validated.
- As a line supervisor ensure that corporate HSE procedures are strictly adhered to while performing all activities onshore.
- Review, implement and close out HSE actions.
- Conduct area inspections and Safety Audit tours.
- Develop and implement place plans to achieve targets set in performance contracts.
- Conduct general team briefs when necessary.
- Keep in contact with other sites and production groups.
- Liaise closely with Maintenance Superintendent and night shift Production Superintendent. Develop and present presentations e.g. at Quarterly Performance Reviews to senior manager when requested
