Job Title: Manager, Mobile Money Propositions Department: Marketing and Strategy Location: Lagos
Job Description: Provide professional input and advice to the Mobile Money Propositions unit in developing strategies. Identify and assess business growth opportunities, develop new business opportunities in accordance with MTN’s strategy and goals Develop and manage a product launch process for Mobile money propositions, products and services in line with MTN N processes Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers. Ensure full compliance with telecommunications license provisions, sector regulations and competition laws. Integrate quality management processes within the Propositions and Product Development Group and their effective deployment on a day-to-day basis. Manage product launch of all new propositions, products and services, ensuring effective implementation and hand-over to the propositions and product management team. Develop new propositions, products and services within the distinct Mobile Money brand and within the wider product and services “master brand” managed by MTN N Marketing Group. Work with the Senior Manager Business Development to develop effective product launch communications. Engage in business negotiations with potential and existing clients and ensure positive outcome for the mobile money unit. Build networks with key industry players and relevant government functionaries to create a positive identification with MTN’s services and brand. Generate business development reports and analysis, providing insight into rate of success in business development terms and as input into business development effort within the department. Ensure mobile money processes and services are effective and efficient in line with defined and approved design and rules.
Job Conditions: Standard MTNN working conditions May be required to work extended hours / weekends
Reporting To: Senior Manager, Business Development
Required Skills: A good first degree in Business Management or related fields Possession of a Masters Degree will be an advantage 8 years work experience in a Sales or Business Development environment of a Telecoms/FMCG company which includes at least 2 years experience in a supervisory/ managerial role
