    Exams Officer

    Payband 4/ 2,972,137NGN (gross plus allowances)/ Indefinite term contract/open to internal and externals/must have a pre-existing right to work in Nigeria/ The post is in Port Harcourt.

    British Council, Nigeria is recruiting an Exams Officer  (Education & Professional Educations Exams) to be based in Port Harcourt. The post holder will join of a team of 4 who administer the growing exams business in Port Harcourt ensuring quality and compliance as well as control of income and expenditure to deliver on target. The main accountabilities of the post holder is contained in the Role Profile. Knowledge of the education and qualification systems in the UK and Nigeria and experience of delivering examinations in a timely and secure manner are desirable.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Proficiency in Using Microsoft Office Word and Excel. 
    • English Language proficiency to IELTS band 7.0 in all areas (or equivalent).
    • Knowledge of the education and qualification systems in the UK and Nigeria

    Short listing & Interview Experience

    • Dealing with customers and enquiries in a service environment.
    • Providing and monitoring service within quality standards.
    • Working quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.
    • Experience of handling and reporting on payments from customers.Experience of delivering examinations in a timely and secure manner.

    • Supervision of staff.

    Qualifications

    • Secondary School education up to ‘A’ Level standard
    • A qualification in examinations management.
