    Internal Auditor

    Purpose

    To provide assurance and risk reviews to the business entities and to Executive Management that the process and systems, and internal controls are in place and functioning as expected

    Key aims

    • Carry out an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the policies, procedures and standards by which the financial, physical and information resources are managed.
    • Add value by acting as a facilitator and assessor in business risk management and carrying out internal audit reviews, thereby assisting the senior management and Executive Committee members in the effective discharge of their responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

        Participate in the Risk Assessment process, identifying risks and weaknesses, and in the preparation of the Annual Audit Program;
        Perform audits in assigned areas, with minimal supervision, in accordance with audit programs in order to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, business processes and procedures;
        Able to plan, schedule, assign work and estimate resource needs to complete work effectively;
        Prepare written audit findings and make suitable practical recommendations for discussion with senior management;
        Participate in opening and closing meetings and in the review of audit results with senior management;
        Document the work papers in a clear, concise, neat, accurate and timely way;
        Follow-Up on Management Action Plans and Audit Findings Remediation;
        Able to present Audit outcomes in a clear and concise manner to Senior Leaders;
        Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices;
        Perform reviews and other assignments as directed by the Group Internal Audit Manager

    Job Requirements

        ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIA qualification/part qualification;
        2-4 years’ experience with a  focus on either external or internal audit;
        Good analytical skills;
        Excellent attention to detail;
        The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;
        Good communications skills (written and verbal);
        Happy working as part of a team and managing others;
        Ethical, Discreet and Trustworthy;
        Knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits;
        Ability to work with diligently with no supervision;
        Knowledge of computerized accounting systems;
        An ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports;
        An ability to maintain current knowledge of developments related to business matters

    Welder

    Job Description (but not limited to)

    • Shall be able to deposit a sound weld which will be inspected by certified welding inspector and tested for its conformity.
    • Knowledge about various welding consumables and its maintenance.
    • Up to date knowledge of welding safety and equipment safety.
    • Ability to read and understand welding procedures, specifications etc.
    • Reading of drawings and instructions, layout and fabrication of systems as request.
    • Ability to work on Carbon Steel, Arc, Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, special alloy and Aluminum etc.
    • Ability to carry out SMAW, TIG, MIG, Gas, etc welding in all positions on Pipelines, Vessels structures and equipment.
    • Ability to carry out Soldering and Brazing works.
    • Being able to qualify for the all welding procedures and standards.
    • Understand and apply the plant safety standards and maintenance procedures while performing the work.
    • In addition to his normal jobs, he should assist and participate in other maintenance activities.
    • Will be subject to internal training on safety, quality improvement tools to participate in Nigerdock continuous improvement.
    • Understands and apply safety standards and maintenance procedures while performing the work.

    Job Requirements

    Educational Qualification

    • Fluent knowledge of English language (speak, read, and write).
    • Graduate certification from High School.
    • Craft Certificate from a recognized institution as welder trade (ITI certificate).
    • Holds weld certificate on welding procedures in GAS, ARC, and MIG & TIG welding to relevant ASME, BS and API codes.

    Work Experience

    • Minimum eight years work experience as a Welder.
    • Ability to perform work independently work normally performed by this craft.
    • Welders shall require monitoring by contractor QA/QC program to qualify and to re qualify for welding procedures required to perform work.

    Structural Fabrication Superintendent

    Purpose

    • Manages and coordinates the deployment and activities of structural fabrication personnel and equipment within an assigned project or area of work.
    • Ensure all work activities are undertaken in compliance with HSEQ manual, Safe Work Practises, Project Specifications, and relevant Codes and Standards.
    • Ensure efficient and effective delivery in accordance with Project Schedules.

    Key aims
    Safety of all personnel.
    Ensure all activities are in compliance with HSEQ manual, Project Specifications and all relevant procedures.
    Ensure fabrication tools & equipment are available for the work scope in accordance with project plans and schedules.
    Ensure all fitters have the appropriate training and competency assessments for the work to be undertaken

    Key requirements
    Manage all structural fabrication/construction and associated activities carried out within assigned work area.
    Identify in a timely manner the manpower and equipment requirements for the assigned work.
    Allocate resources and equipment to work areas.
    Allocation of work fronts to Structural Fabrication Supervisors.
    Ensure assigned work is progressing in accordance with project schedules.
    Ensure weld preparations and fit-ups are in compliance with Weld Procedure Specifications, QA/QC requirements and specified dimensional tolerances.
    Monitor productivity, fit-up and dimensional reject rates and schedule performance and be pro-active in investigating the reasons for poor performance and implementing corrective measures.
    Ensure all fabrication equipment is maintained in good working order.
    Ensure all equipment being used is functioning properly and has the required certification in place.
    Ensure fabrication equipment is made available for scheduled inspection and maintenance.
    Liaise with the Welding Superintendent on fitting and welding sequences and distortion control.
    Liaise with the Rigging Superintendent on planned fabrication sequences to ensure lifting and movements can be performed safely and efficiently.
    Liaise with the Scaffold Superintendent on planned fabrication sequences so scaffold requirements can be addressed in a timely manner.
    Liaise with Coatings Superintendent on capabilities and limitations for fabricated items requiring blast and paint.
    Liaise with the Training Manager on fitter training requirements.
    Report non-conformances associated with structural/fitting operations.
    Ensure all personnel within the work area understand and operate to the required quality procedures efficiently and effectively.
    Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
    Prepare Task Risk Assessments as required.
    Participate in Toolbox Talks.
    Identify, stop and immediately correct unsafe acts or conditions.
    Liaise with other craft superintendents within assigned project.
    Work with Construction Managers and Superintendents on other projects to ensure the most efficient use of equipment across the facility.
    Give clear and concise instructions to team members and follow up to ensure safe and timely execution.
    Ensure good discipline is maintained.
    Hold members of the fabrication team accountable for work performance as per their roles and responsibilities
    Demonstrate good planning and organisation in day to day activities.
    Contribute to the Continuous Improvement Process within the fabrication function.
    Set professional standards of behavior.
    Contribute to overall construction plans by considering efficient and effective methods of executing the work.
    Attend meetings as required, on time and prepared.
    Share the workload of other superintendents during leave rotations.
    Mentor, train and assess Nigerian national personnel under his/her control.
    Listen to and evaluate any employee concerns.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience of fabrication/construction in the oil and gas construction (or other relevant) industry. At least 5-7 years at superintendent/supervisory level.
    • Time-served apprenticeship as a fitter/plater/fabricator in a fabrication environment with minimum qualification of City & Guilds or Diploma.
    • Conversant with all types of fabrication tools and equipment.
    • Ability to demonstrate a complete understanding and show commitment to the importance of HSE and Quality in the day to day activities in a fabrication facility.
    • Ability to lead and manage a team and to mentor and train others.
