    Procurement Manager(MRO)

    Job Summary:

    • Plan and manage company's overall sourcing strategy for Maintenance, Repairs and Operations & Site Services.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Develop overall vision for the MRO & Site Services category in line with the business objectives.
    • Lead the planning and application of strategic sourcing, negotiation, signing and termination of contracts with regards to the MRO & Site Services category.
    • Establish MRO & Site Services procurement priorities and plans based on benefits opportunities.
    • Develop and implement MRO & Site Services procurement strategies, utilizing an end-to-end value chain approach to increase market competitiveness and sustain ongoing category improvements.
    • Maintain extensive knowledge of the MRO & Site Services category through understanding and application of industry developments, marketplace trends, emerging technology, new techniques, leading practices, and shared experiences.
    • Review the MRO & Site Services category spend to identify and pursue strategic sourcing and demand management opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain the MRO & Site Services category sourcing plan that coordinates sourcing and contract management activities across the procurement function, delivering targeted benefits to SBC
    • Collaborate with internal customers to interpret the ongoing supply plan for the MRO & Site Services category.
    • Negotiate strategic contracts, communicate contract terms to the respective users and ensure policy and contract compliance between operations and vendors.
    • Work with category buyers and legal to propose and subsequently implement corrective actions and coaching for vendors failing to meet contract requirements.
    • Supervise and support the sourcing team in the contract management process.
    • Develop and implement category communication plans, including sharing new contract agreements and procedures for complying.
    • Communicate contract terms to impacted stakeholders in SBC through meetings and other appropriate communication vehicles
    • Develop a robust supplier repository to facilitate the procurement at optimal price and quality at all times.
    • Utilize technology or/and business processes to develop files, tracking systems and presentations as regards to MRO & Site Services sourcing and procurement.
    • Manage the supplier performance system, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions, Service Level Agreement, and specified Key Performance Indicators.
    • Consistently monitor market trends to stay abreast of the factors impacting on demand and supply, to be able to forecast trends, and implement actions, that positively impacts the company’s position.
    • Develop a sufficient supplier’s base in order to be able to evaluate and attain the most competitive prices and quality on a local basis.
    • Ensure overall business strategies, goals, and changes from senior leadership are understood and successfully executed.
    • Communicate the unit goals to the team, motivating them in the accomplishment of set goals and objectives.
    • Guide, coach, motivate and develop team under leadership, ensuring high performance and value creation.
    • Manage the systems and processes around team members, evaluate for bottlenecks and methods of alleviation.
    • Set key result areas, key performance indicators and goals for team members.
    • Track and measure the progress of established goals, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback on non-achievement of goals.
    • Ascertain knowledge/skills/ability gaps, recommend and facilitate capability programmes and developmental interventions to bridge identified competency gaps.
    • Interview, hire and train new hires as the business requires.
    • Foster an environment for successful working relationships, ensuring improved morale and engagement levels.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree. Preferably in supply chain management or any relevant field.
    • Minimum of 6 cognate years’ experience, preferably in the FMCG industry, handling procurement, vendor management, sourcing etc
    • Experience in large scale change management projects
    • Expert level proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
    • Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Keen attention to detail, ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
    • Extensive knowledge and understanding of MRO, procurement processes, policies, and systems.
    • Ability to access, use, interpret and communicate mathematical information and ideas quickly.
    • Ability to engage with and advise key internal and external stakeholders exceptionally.

    Business Development Manager

    • This role supports efforts to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth. Working closely with Senior Executives, the role holder will develop and execute strategies to expand the company's customer base and market share.
    • In addition, the role is responsible for providing administrative and organizational support to the CEO - manage daily schedule, coordinate meetings, and ensure that all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Business Development

    • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and new opportunities in the market.
    • Assist in the development of marketing and sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
    • Participate in sales calls and meetings with potential (and existing) clients.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors.
    • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other business development materials.
    • Determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
    • Make sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
    • Visit existing and potential clients to evaluate needs and/ or promote the company’s products and services.
    • Provide support to Executive Management in preparing reports, analyzing data, and making recommendations to improve business performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, client services, laboratory operations, etc. to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives, customer communications and management, excellent service delivery and satisfaction.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of business development activities, including customers’ contact details, customer interactions, sales pipeline, revenue projections and achievements; ensure the database is up to date.
    • Present status of business development activities and other information as required at the company’s monthly performance reporting (MPR) and other meetings as scheduled.
    • Develop (and/ or revise) the department’s operational manual to provide guidance for new/ existing members of the team and ensure completeness of all key activities.

    Executive Administration

    • Manage the CEO's calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
    • Act as a gatekeeper for the CEO, filter and respond to emails and phone calls as assigned.
    • Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, and other documents for the CEO.
    • Coordinate and manage logistics for meetings, events, and conferences, including booking venues, transportation, catering, expense management, etc.
    • Conduct research on behalf of the CEO, including market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
    • Coordinate with other members of the Management team and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
    • Develop (and/ or revise) an operational manual for the administration of activities related to the office of the Chief Executive.
    • Maintain a database of the CEO/ company’s contacts, categorized into relevant groups, and manage information dissemination as required; ensure the database is up to date. Others
    • Suggest ways to improve overall company organization and operational efficiency.
    • Perform any other tasks assigned to you by Executive Management or your Line Manager.

    Academic & Professional Qualifications:

    • Bachelors’ Degree in any discipline (a degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline will be an added advantage).
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
    • Prior experience in an oilfield service company or petroleum/ environmental laboratory.
    • Experience in a managerial position is an added advantage.

    • Ability to use online data collection, management, and storage tools such as Forms, Drives, etc.

    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle proprietary/ sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Good understanding of key sales processes and oil & gas industry standards.
    • Extensive knowledge of, and ability to use, MS Office tools especially MS Excel, and PowerPoint, Word, Calendar (or other efficient scheduling tool).
    • Proficiency in the use of any Enterprise solution for sales CRM.
    • Key Result Objectives and Performance Indicators:
    • Generate a minimum of thirty (30) quality leads monthly.
    • Develop at least five (5) proposals every quarter.
    • Minimum of nine (9) new clients every quarter.
