    Technical Product Manager, West & Central

    About the role:

    What you would be expected to do

    New Product Identification

    • Generate, refine and consolidate new product ideas, market research and customer requirements, drawing from relationships across the company, including R&D, sales, marketing, and operations teams.
    • Develop customer survey templates, collect feedback, and present to internal stakeholders
    • Evaluate current offerings from industry peers, seeking opportunities for differentiation.
    • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction.
    • Test prototypes and potential new products to validate its commercial viability. Specify product requirements and feedback for R&D. 

    New Product Pilots

    • Act as the Project Manager to deploy successful pilots, defining the purpose, major deliverables, KPIs, timelines, risks, and roles of internal stakeholders.
    • Track and document key pilot project deliverables, including customer engagement, usage habits, product availability, and the weekly number of generated prospects.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables (selecting pilot areas, inventory readiness, training, etc.) are met on time. 
    • Carry out Engineering Validation Testing (focusing on the features) and Technical Validation Testing (focusing on integration) and generate a Product Requirements Document (PRD)
    • Collect Customer Feedback on the product performance and expectations and present to internal stakeholders. 
    • Report the progress and results of the pilot through a comprehensive memo or a presentation. Provide insights on lessons learned, recommendations for a successful GTM approach, product design or process changes, if needed. 
    • Oversee a successful transition from the pilot stage to commercial scale. 

    New Product Introduction

    • Clearly convey the product vision. Translate technical specifications, benefits, differentiation against rivals, and its fit with Sun King to a language customers can appreciate.
    • Work with various departments to design a sales and service process for new products and the route to market.
    • Assist in the Training and Marketing Teams by reviewing training materials, spec sheets, packaging, and highlighting the Customer Value Proposition (CVP)
    • Assist in the development of service requirements for new products, working closely with the After-Sales and Call Center teams to ensure customer service is prepared prior to the product launch.
    • Work with the R&D Team to define and implement product iterations and cascade the changes to respective stakeholders. 

    You might be a strong candidate if you

    • Have a Bachelors Degree in product design, engineering, energy systems, the physical sciences, or a related field. Experience in Solar Refrigeration will be an advantage.
    • Have minimum 4 years experience as technical Product Manager preferably in the solar industry
    • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and with the ability to work well on your own, ability to figure things out with innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and presence of mind.
    • Are curious to ideate and expand product offerings in segments complimentary to solar energy, such as clean mobility solutions. 
    • Have the ability to collect and synthesize user feedback for actionable items.
    • Have critical thinking skills: Strong ability to structure problems and drive towards solutions even in ambiguous situations
    • Have financial knowledge to quantify economic value propositions and commercial opportunities of new product offerings.
    • Have experience in spearheading the expansion of new product lines or segments
    • Can execute and manage projects effectively.
    • Are Open to travel within the region and possibly to other Sun King markets
    • Display excellent communication skills, energy, and the ability to handle obstacles at a rapidly growing organization. You can communicate product choices through the lens of multiple stakeholders.

    Regional Collections Manager, North Central (Nigeria)

    About the role:

    • We are looking for a hungry, diligent, well organized team member to join our Risk department as a Regional Collections Manager.
    • The Employee will drive the efforts and processes related to collections of our PAYG products in the field. They will also give advice and suggestions on how to improve customer payments and satisfaction while ensuring that the company offer matches end-users expectations.

    What you would be expected to do

    • Work on regional portfolio and repayment trends and laying down daily, weekly, monthly strategies to drive better collection rates from delinquent customers.
    • Conducting mystery market visits to confirm the quality of sales and obtain different insights from different areas to enhance strategic direction to reduce problems of disabled lamps and repayments.
    • Providing weekly updates to Sales and Risk management teams on-field interventions performed and results achieved, along with customer insights.
    • Designing, piloting, and operationalizing collection processes necessary for ensuring better repayments and customer satisfaction.
    • Working with Area Business Managers and Field Sale Executives to repossess products from delinquent customers on cases where direct intervention is required.
    • Reporting any cases of product tampering observed in the field through the process and mechanism established by the Risk team.
    • Facilitating reporting and actions to be taken against those perpetrating fraudulent practices in the field, such as product tampering, misinformed sales done by FSEs etc., as per the processes laid out by the Risk function.
    • Training Agents (Field Sales Executives) on dealing with repossessions and difficult customer collection issues.
    • Driving operating rhythm to follow-up with Agents (Field Officers) to ensure they are completing their collection calls and repossession tasks on time.
    • Recruiting cash collection centres and set up for the key collection area.

    You might be a strong candidate if you

    • Have Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma related to Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management or related fields.
    • Have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position with field experience and also with rural customers settlements.
    • Are excited about working in the field to drive collections, resolving issues, and enhancing the customer experience.
    • Have strong experience from Microfinance/ Fintech or banking background on Credit Collections debt recovery preferable.
    • Are good with numbers, 
    • Have good communication & people skills
    • Have clear thinking/problem-solving ability.
    • Are excited about working with rural customers & resolve customers issues.
    • Have excellent issue-tracking and resolution skills.
    • Are able to manage multiple tasks at the same time diligently and accurately.
    • Work with multiple sales teams and cross-functional teams seamlessly.

    Service Center Technician, Installations, East Central (Benin)

    About the Role:

    • Sun King is looking for a Service Technician to manage the Aftersales operations in Nigeria.
    • This role will be a key point of contact for the Sales team, cross-functional departments, and customers for after-sales and service queries.
    • This role will work with all the stakeholders within Company as well as with key stakeholders on the customer side for installation, and service queries and builds smooth relations with internal & external customers, to achieve best-in-class customer satisfaction.

    What you would be expected to do

    • Quality Assurance: Perform timely diagnostics and repair on all customer returns from the assigned zone while maintaining a report on all issues observed and the action taken.
    • Regular positive improvement of all the existing processes at the Service entre every quota.
    • Systems and process design: Coordinate with technology teams to ensure company systems, including applications meet customer service needs.
    • Develop new processes to transform current service operations more efficiently.
    • Training: Build training materials and hold training for partners about product troubleshooting, repairs, installation, and replacement processes when requested.
    • Develop a thorough knowledge of the product and service the company your work for is offering.
    • Customer Service: Installation of Home systems, installation audit, and deliver a comprehensive service to inquiring customers.
    • Find solutions and ensure product replacements and other warranty claims are closed within the designated timelines.
    • Delegate certain customer inquiries to specific teams when needed.
    • Team Management: Manage the development and continuous improvement within the after-sales team. Provide guidance for team members’ careers. Drive professional growth within the team, mentoring and to also develop valuable skillsets.
    • Dispute Management: Manage a large number of incoming calls and emails,
    • keeping a record of customer interactions and details of actions taken. Report back on results addressing any issues/disputes from customers.
    • Drive Operational Efficiency: Meet KPI goals including service level timelines and customer net promoter scores.
    • Documentation & MIS: Provide periodic reports to management on after-sales & service activities.

    You might be a strong candidate if you

    • Have HND/BSC in engineering or any related field from a reputable institution
    • Have a minimum 3 + years experience in after-sales services in the solar industry
    • Demonstrate experience in solar Inverter installations.
    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill information and also know how to communicate to different audiences in order to get results.
    • Are passionate about customer service and resolving their issues.
    • Have the ability to maintain calm under pressure
    • Are efficient and have organizational skills
    • Are a Critical Thinker: Very strong ability to structure problems and drive towards solutions even in ambiguous situations
