    Senior Commercials / Business Development Manager

    Job Description

    • Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Commercials / Business Development Manager to drive the company growth and expand the brand’s business in the construction sector.
    • You will be responsible for leading the brand’s commercial and business development efforts in the construction sector.
    • You will identify new business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with clients, and oversee the financial aspects of projects to ensure profitability.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the company's client base.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
    • Lead the preparation and submission of bids and proposals for construction projects.
    • Collaborate with the estimating and project management teams to develop competitive proposals.
    • Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
    • Review and approve contract documents to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests.
    • Oversee the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
    • Monitor project financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities in the construction sector.
    • Use market insights to develop targeted business development strategies and marketing campaigns.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial and business development teams.
    • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including project management, engineering, and finance, to ensure seamless project delivery.
    • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and regulatory bodies, to facilitate project approvals and permits.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's Degree is a plus.
    • 5+ years of proven experience in commercial management, business development, or related roles in the construction industry.
    • Strong understanding of construction contracts, project costing, and financial management.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and construction management software.

    Business Development Manager - Energy Solutions Provider (Solar and Renewable Energy)

    Job Description

    • Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive the brand's business growth and expand the brand’s market presence in the renewable energy sector.
    • You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategic plans to drive sales growth, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.

    Top 3 Specific Goals:

    • Establish a solid pipeline of B2B customers willing to convert to solar energy in shortest possible time
    • Understand and help develop/improve current sales/customer acquisition process.
    • Constantly meeting assigned sales target (closing a minimum of 5 deals a month and meeting minimum sales target of N20 Million).

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
    • Proven track record of success in sales and business development, preferably in the renewable energy (Solar) industry.
    • Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
    • Deep knowledge of the Nigerian market, including key players, customers, and market dynamics.
    • Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to drive strategic decision-making.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
    • Strong experience with B2B sales and ability to foster relationships with key decision makers on client side.
