    Commercial Lead, FMCG/DRY

    Job Summary

    Core Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy: Lead a national team of sales agents, driving demand and supply across the FMCG sector. Develop and implement strategies for revenue growth and market expansion. Operational Excellence: Manage the creation and supervision of sales pipelines, ensuring team efficiency and client satisfaction. Oversee budget management and strategic initiatives for expansion. Agent Network Management: Oversee a nationwide network of sales agents, ensuring effective coverage and sales performance. Financial Oversight: Ensure prompt customer payments and manage receivables to maintain healthy cash flow.

    Responsibilities

    • Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation: Proficiency in utilising advanced analytics to generate insights and inform strategy, with a keen eye on market trends and customer behaviour.
    • Financial Management & Budgeting: Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to maximise ROI and drive growth.
    • Project Management & Agile Methodologies: Demonstrated expertise in project
    • management tools and agile methodologies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
    • Data Analysis : Proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies to monitor sales performance and market trends.
    • Financial Acumen : Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial management skills to oversee departmental budgets effectively.
    • CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems to enhance customer relationships and sales tracking.
    • Sales Strategy & Execution: Deep understanding of FMCG sales strategies and the ability to implement effective sales processes.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 6 years in leadership roles within the FMCG sector, with a proven track record in
    • sales management and agent network management, managing a team of at least 10.
    • Proven track record of achieving growth targets.
    • Experience in the FMCG industry is a must.
    • Experience with end-to-end go-to-market strategies is a plus.

    Commercial Associate, Dry

    Job Summary

    Vendease is looking to recruit a Commercial Associate, Dry in Lagos to grow our market share and expand our customer base. We are looking to be the biggest supplier of dry products in Lagos and we need an experienced person who has knowledge of the markets, drive and passion to grow out htis category.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand the customer base and achieve sales targets.
    • Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, nurturing leads and developing a deep understanding of their needs and pain points. Proactively engage with potential customers to establish rapport and drive the sales process forward.
    • Manage the sales process, ensuring smooth communications and interactions between key clients and internal teams. Coordinate with various departments, such as logistics, product, and finance, to ensure smooth and efficient sales cycles.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and ongoing support needs.
    • Follow and achieve departmental sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Implement strategies to drive sales growth and meet or exceed targets.
    • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through methods such as cold calling, networking, and leveraging social media platforms.
    •  Identify and engage with potential clients to generate leads and expand the customer base.
    • Preparing and delivering appropriate presentations on products and services.
    • Strengthen relationships with existing clients and contacts, exploring opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. Proactively seek out potential clients, establish new business relationships, and nurture them to generate future sales.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or related fields with a minimum of 4 years of experience in sales, preferably in a B2B, FMCG or e-commerce company.
    • Experience in commercial sales of FMCG products is important for this role.
    • Experience working with a CRM tool for sales lead generation, tracking and forecasting
    • Proven track record in B2B sales and conversion.
    • Must have existing good relationships with distributors that are easily convertible.
    • Excellent numerical, interpersonal, communication and people management skills
    • Tech savviness and a willingness to work with/sell SaaS.
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales Targets.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
    • Strong verbal and written  communication skills
