    Cost & Project Controllers

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Cost & Project Controllers to join its workforce in Nigeria. He/She will be required to:

    Maintain and follow up on management, production and maintenance related costs including preparation of budgets, control and monitoring of expenditure, preparation of reports and analyses of costs.

    MISSIONS:

    • Prepares the EPC Project budget, resolving the, variances during the preparation period and coordinating budget discussions at all levels being the department focal point for cost control matters.
    • Receives budget schedule from Engineering & Technical Manager, integrating a detailed time-table for the various budget holders. Coordinates and progresses preparation with each site.
    • Collates and consolidates all cost inputs in one budget report. Prepares budget estimates and ensures that all budget figures are fully documented.
    • Participates in budget presentations. This includes preparing materials for the presentation, answering queries as required and taking notes for new budget revision.
    • Controls and checks all the invoices submitted by the Contractors and ensures sure that they are consistent with the contracts and supported by documents. Obtains necessary authorizations before forwarding for payment.
    • Keeps up-to-date cost records of all contracts held by Department. Advises the Managers and Superintendents in advance regarding the expiry of contracts.
    • Participates in the preparation of maintenance labor or turnkey contracts which involves liaising and corresponding with the Contracts Officer to prepare commercial and cost aspects tender documents and invitation to tender and assisting in evaluating bids.
    • Prepares reports and documents to be sent to Logistics Manager, such as accruals, authorization for expenditure, asset register changes, write off / disposal request forms, etc.
    • Reviews expenditure reports received from Project Manager, ensures that expenditures are properly monitored, and highlights significant variances between the budget and the actual costs.
    • Liaises with superintendents and engineers on financial procedures and systems, giving assistance when required. Liaises with Finance Department to ensure normal accounting procedures are followed.
    • Prepares various regular and as-hoc reports for Management information on Cost and expenditures, economic indices etc.
    • Develop / implement / revise various maintenance cost & financial procedures as required to ensure proper allocation of costs, reporting of cost, etc.
    • Provide professional advice and guidance to all Personnel with respect to Cost and Financial matters.
    • Undertakes other similar or related tasks and duties as directed by his Supervisor.

    Profile

    • Good written and spoken English.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business/Management
    • 5 years experience in Management including 2 years in contracts

    PVV Engineer

    Job description

    We are currently looking for a PVV Engineer to support us with the Shutdown Project:

    Responsibilities:

    • Draftsmen to prepare schematic drawings from the red-lined P&IDs, PFDs GEA.
    • Responsible for the development of all supporting FFSD documents & work packs under the guidance of the Shutdown Coordinator
    • Developing design and specifications for piping systems. This includes determining appropriate materials, dimensions, and operations conditions to ensure structural integrity and reliability.

    Profile

    • Chartered Engineer (A-levels + 5 years’ study) or Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent.
    • 5 to 10 years’ experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations.
    • Basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations.
    • Ability to advise and motivate multi-national teams,
    • Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others.
    • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.

    Telephony Administrator - Telephony Swap-Out Projec

    Job description

    • Increase capacity and decrease cycle time needed to deliver and maintain Telecommunications services to agency clients
    • Device Preparation (Phones and Media packs)
    • Supervises, trains staff, and oversees the IP Telephony area in the absence of the supervisor of the IP Telephony system
    • Provides technical assistance to telephone systems personnel and personnel of various departments regarding telecommunications components.
    • Recommends and assesses specifications for new IP telephony technology for the San Antonio Water System (SAWS).
    • Designs, administers, and analyzes IP telephony systems, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Unified Communications System, Cisco Conference Connection, Cisco Voice Gateways, Cisco IP Contact Center, Cisco IP Interactive Voice Response (IP-IVR), Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), IP Voice Recording Systems and Voice over IP (VOIP) Protocols.
    • Analyzes and provides Call Detail Records (CDR) call logs depending on department requirements.
    • Reviews requests from various departments determining the best-suited infrastructure. Schedules installations and relocations of telephone services.
    • Designs, documents procedure for business continuity and/or recovery alternatives in the event of failure; works with vendor representatives to resolve known problems; and integrates and troubleshoots integration of multiple platforms.
    • Administers and monitors IP telephony systems for performance.
    • Designs, administers, and analyzes IP telephony systems corporate dial plans and traffic routes for voice network structure, in order to optimize the organization's effectiveness and to provide quality telecommunication service.

    ICSS & Instrumentation Lead

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a ICSS & Instrumentation Lead to join its work force in Nigeria.

    ICSS /Instrumentation Lead shall be fully responsible for the management, supervision control and coordination of ICSS and Instrumentation contract aspects of the basic engineering and detailed engineering studies carried out by the respective contractors.

    • Development and review of Instrument and ICSS specifications and all related deliverables
    • Ensure engineering is performed in line with the project scope of requirements, company general specifications & procedures, and international codes & company standards within agreed quality, schedule and cost.
    • Coordinate with corporate TEC specialists and prepare derogation requests to company general specifications when required.
    • Review, comment and approve all ICSS & Instrumentation basic and detailed engineering documents including incorporation of required vendor data.
    • Ensure the update and development of all philosophies, specifications, data sheets and drawings based on solid design knowledge of offshore oil & gas processing facilities, and with respect to EGINA FPSO.
    • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental issues are taken into consideration during the design.
    • Ensure that the engineering contractor carries out his work to the required level of quality and participate effectively in company design quality audits.
    • Prepare responses to engineering contractor technical queries or derogation requests.
    • Manage interface with other parts of the project regarding ICSS/Instrument matters including Safety, UFR, SPS, Field operations, Commissioning, Quality and participate in coordination meetings and ensure all interface issues related to ICSS & Instrumentation package are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Manage and regularly report contractor progress & resources to ensure that deliverables are issued in a timely manner and work is completed within budget.
    • Manage with review of change orders, planning constraints, etc.
      The job holder shall be the focal point for the preparation of company documentation associated with both basic engineering and EPC phases and shall also take a lead role for vendor clarifications and recommendations to award in conjunction with corporate specialists.
      It is anticipated that the role will carry over into the detailed design phase.
    • Manage and guide the ICSS and instrumentation team in achieving the task and target set-up for the team and desired results as set-out by Project Management Team.
    • Interface effectively with the Contractors tasked to execute the ICSS and Instrumentation design, procurement, assembly, testing and ensure timely delivery of the same to the designated work locations. Able to manage the Nigerian Content scope effectively and ensure it delivered within agreed timeline, quality and cost.
    • Ensure excellent working relationship with all key stakeholders.

    Profile

    Profile Required

    • Education: Must be Degree qualified instrument engineer or equivalent
      Professional experience: Minimum 18 years worked in the oil & gas (preferably offshore) industry with previous emphasis on FEED, detailed engineering, and project task force related work.
    • Advantageous to have work experience on previous FPSO projects.
    • Highly skilled in Instrumentation and ICSS, technical and contractual matters.
    • Skilled in communication, verbal and written.
    • People management skill.
