    Senior Cost Engineer

    Job Summary

    This position has the following core responsibilities:

    Responsibilities

    Core/Technical

    • Analyse Tendering documentations to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates;
    • Consult with vendors and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues;
    • Ensure that clarifications are raised well in time to get better clarity on bid submission
    • Review of Tender documents on receipt to ensure its completeness
    • Review blueprints and product specifications to accurately determine the quantities of materials needed;
    • Reviews drawings and specifications to determine costs; evaluates third-party estimates and tracks market costs to validate estimates.
    • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
    • Solicit and review subcontractor proposals to aid bid submissions;
    • Obtain material pricing and organize all the information necessary to create and submit proposals to clients;
    • Ensure that commercial submissions of tenders are fully complied with all necessary details
    • Use detailed spreadsheets and Client-approved templates to calculate the bid price;
    • Designs, implements, and maintains cost estimating database(s) using various software applications.
    • Traveling to job sites to gather information on materials, labour, and other factors that will influence the bid price;
    • Proactively work with the Procurement Group to ensure Vendors RFQ Technical and Commercial Bid Evaluations are completed in a timely manner
    • Take part in quality checks of completed bids in consonance to the bid requirement/check lists and ensure bid compliance to draft condition of contract in the ITT.
    • Travel to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors
    • Participate in site visits/pre-bid meetings;
    • Take part in the overall bid packaging exercise to ensure that bids are submitted on due date;
    • Any other activities as assigned

    • Drive compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies, processes, procedures and applicable laws/legal requirements across Oilserv business.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in either Quantity Surveyor, Engineering or Finance
    • Professional certifications (PMP, CCP) added advantage. 
    • Minimum of 10 Years broad experience as Cost Engineer with preferred focus in the EPCIC space
    • Proficiency in SAP (ERP).

    Maintenance Planner

    Job Summary

    This position has the following responsibilities; Proactively plans work to ensure that all maintenance activities are done in a safe and environmentally sound manner, and are in compliance with established codes and procedures. The Maintenance Planner identifies the most appropriate cost-effective means of completing necessary work during the development of specific maintenance job plans. The Planner carries out the scheduling of preventive Maintenance, Monitors implementation and compliance on SAP along the Plant Maintenance Module management.

    Responsibilities

    Leadership

    • Create reusable job plans in SAP and demonstrate ownership of all SAP data associated with reusable job plans.
    • Ensure reusable job plans are updated with current data obtained during the execution of the work in the field.
    • Point of contact for contract services, set up RFP events, Monitors PR's, and approve invoices.
    • Coordinate activities on purchases and deliveries through the Procurement Department. 
    • Audit repairable and non-stock parts to ensure availability and adjust inventory as required.
    • Act as a liaison with operations personnel and provide direction of activities to meet job plans and work execution packages.
    • Schedule Preventive Maintenance plan and monitor its execution and compliance on SAP.
    • Create Technical Objects on SAP and maintenance updates
    • Follow all safety rules; assure that all technicians are made aware of safe working practices. 
    • Ensure environmental compliance by audit of fugitive emission/relief valve orders and prioritize scheduling to meet compliance targets.
    • Have general overview of the repair, overhaul, and modification of vehicles and equipment within the DIVISION 
    • Collate required data on the activities of their team which includes but not limited to availability and reliability of equipment under them, issue all applicable reports and utilize the reports to effect improvements on equipment availability
    • Improve the mean time to repair by proactively ensuring the required spares are available for their team 
    • Ensures the quality of work meets the required standard and improves on the mean time between failures of repaired equipment.
    • Supervise the planning and scheduling of the maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, and equipment.
    • Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time.
    • Carry out periodic maintenance audit.
    • Provide positive and professional leadership to Operations and Technical staff in the Oilserv Group

    Core/Technical

    • Audit PM and PPM maintenance orders for correct entry data and cost settlement information. 
    • Solicit feedback on executed jobs plans and make any necessary changes to ensure that planning and work efficiency continues to improve. 
    • Ensure continuous improvement regarding job preparation and planning processes through feedback on work execution.
    •  Serve as a technical resource to unit operating and mechanical personnel using SAP and other software as required. 
    • Undertake  periodic measurement  of divisional   KPIs and  initiate  actions to   re-align  the KPIs  to  the divisional objectives.
    • Create requisitions for the procurement of materials.
    • Exercise significantly more judgment and independence in determining the methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems.
    • Plan and improvise repair procedures, find ways to mechanically and physically adapt or alter items to fit and mesh into systems for which the items were not specifically designed, or find ways to diagnose and correct defects when existing methods and procedures do not give the desired results
    • Independently determines work methods, sequences, tools, and equipment to use in making the extensive and complex repairs to the vehicles and equipment.
    • Select and comply with technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to make repairs and modifications according to specifications and procedures 
    • Maintain job work orders; keep record of labor; material, parts, supplies and other records necessary in the repair and maintenance process; control and release of serviced and repair vehicles
    • Provide advice on repair, overhaul, and modification of Company vehicles and equipment.

    Quality, Health, Safety & Environment

    • Ensure zero LTI and Fatality while carrying out maintenance activities.

    Requirements

    • HND / B.Sc. Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
    • 5 - 10 years’ experience in Asset maintenance / management
