    Corporate Strategy Manager

    IBFCAlliance Limited seeks to fill the role of a Corporate Strategy Manager for one of its clients (a Non-Bank Financial Institution in Lagos licensed by the CBN).

    Job description

    • Monitor the implementation of the Company’s corporate strategy in liaison with functional heads and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Bring together various types of information (operational performance, competitor performance, markets, innovations, etc.), from a variety of sources (internal and external), to develop "strategic options" as input for the periodic strategy reviews by corporate and business leaders
    • Articulate the framework to keep the federal and state governments fully informed on the scope and type of cooperation which the company will require from them from time to time and as may be required by the Board.
    • Act as a strategy coach to all heads of business units to provide needed support in formulating their own strategic plans and ensure compliance with the company strategic plan.
    • Support Executive Management in engaging key mortgage and housing sector players on policy issues and actions that impact the operations of the company.
    • Coordinate continuous research and analysis of market information i.e., competition, products, customers, etc. to provide accurate and reliable data for strategic planning, to support various business processes and serve as the basis for making informed business decisions.
    • Ensure there is an effective environmental, competitor, stakeholder analysis and peer review analysis on regular basis.
    • Periodically compare the company’s strategy with current market/ industry trends and best practices and propose re-appraisal of strategy where necessary.
    • Facilitate management strategy sessions, board strategy sessions, and periodic performance review sessions as may be necessary.
    • Liaise with all functional heads to facilitate the collation of predefined performance information for business planning and monitoring.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

    Qualification and Experience

    • First degree or equivalent in Finance, Social Sciences or any other related discipline from a reputable University.
    • Relevant postgraduate/ professional qualification.
    • At least, 10 years cognate experience, preferably in a financial institution or a management consulting environment, and with sufficient management level exposure.

    Corporate Communications Officer

    IBFCAlliance Limited seeks to fill the role of a Corporate Communications Officer for one of its clients (a Non-Bank Financial Institution in Lagos licensed by the CBN).

    Job description

    • Develop and execute strategies to project a reputable public image for the Company. These should reflect the Company’s vision and strategic direction, while also enhancing its competitive positioning.
    • Develop and implement communication framework, policies and guidelines relating to the dissemination of information within and outside the Company.
    • Establish beneficial relationships with various media houses to facilitate the coverage of press releases and media briefings that project the Company’s corporate image and reputation.
    • Manage the Company’s online presence (website and social media handles), ensuring continuous engagement and content update.
    • Keep abreast of industry and corporate developments, events and issues that may impact on the Company’s corporate image and responsibilities.
    • Draft periodic press briefings and thought-leadership articles for external publication to project the Company’s image.
    • Conduct industry-related research and draft newsletters and for internal communications and awareness.
    • Develop a framework to gauge the public perception of the Company and articulate appropriate strategies and action steps to ensure alignment of public perception with the image desired by the Company.
    • Co-ordinate the development of concepts, ideas and themes in the support of promotional/ advertisement campaigns, press conferences etc.
    • Ensure the maintenance of a databank of relevant information from newspapers, magazines, journals etc.
    • Ensure correct use of the Company’s logo, colour, etc. for all correspondences, items, signages etc. within and outside the Company to protect its corporate identity.
    • Coordinate the planning and implementation of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
    • Perform other duties as may be delegated by the Supervisor.

    Qualification and Experience

    • First Degree in Mass Communications, Social Sciences or a related discipline. Membership of relevant professional bodies and or possession of certifications will be an added advantage.
    • 3 to 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a financial services institution.

    Market and Operational Risk Analyst

    IBFCAlliance Limited seeks to fill the role of a Market and Operational Risk Analyst for one of its clients (a Non-Bank Financial Institution in Lagos licensed by the CBN).

    Job Description

    • Develop and implement an appropriate framework for providing consistent measurement, reporting and control of risks across the Company’s investment portfolio.
    • Perform comprehensive market assessments, including statistical analyses, and provide up-to-date information to guide the Company’s investment decisions.
    • Continuously review/assess the risks facing the Company’s investments in order to proactively establish appropriate mitigating controls and monitoring mechanism/framework.
    • Define risk limits/ thresholds for the company’s investment portfolio.
    • Escalate/ report on and manage indicators outside thresholds with risk owners.
    • Define and continuously review the Company’s investment risk policies, processes and activities, and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Generate regular reports to Executive Management on the risk profiles of the Company’s investments
    • Liaise with various job owners within the Company to identify, manage and mitigate risks which might arise from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events.
    • Establish a robust risk assessment and monitoring mechanism to ensure regular reporting and escalation as required.
    • Define risk limits/ thresholds and acceptance criteria.
    • Champion the institutionalisation of an operational risk culture within the Company to promote transparency and accountability for inherent risk and controls.
    • Identify and alert management on all key residual risks and controls.
    • Update and maintain all operational risk management systems, models, procedures and tools.
    • Work closely with Internal Audit and other key control functions for integrated control reviews.
    • Perform operational risk analysis and generate regular reports to executive management, covering:
    • Operational risk incidents and associated process breakdowns;
    • Key risk indicators and root cause for significant deviations etc.
    • Monitoring the implementation of action plans to address identified risks.
    • Perform other duties as may be delegated by the Head, Risk Management.

    Qualification and Experience

    • University degree from a reputable institution
    • A postgraduate degree (MBA, MSc, MA, etc.) and/ or professional certification (e.g., FRM), will be an added advantage
    • 2 - 6 years’ experience, preferably in a financial institution.
