    Marine Methods Engineer

    Job description

    • Work closely with Erha Operations management to manage the marine maintenance requirements of all associated equipment. Offshore Marine Operations (Equipment availability, spare availability, and personnel requirement)
    • Manage preservation and functional check on mooring package.
    • Manage Hawser assembly survey and replacement.
    • Manage all equipment on the buoy especially the loading, swivel quick connect hook etc.
    • Support Erha to meet all marine operational needs.
    • Lead in engineering upgrade and standardization of equipment.
    • Liaise with OEMs to resolve equipment malfunction issues as they occur.
    • Analyze result of condition monitoring data to implement equipment operational and maintenance strategy in line with company policy.
    • Lead in marine equipment maintenance and certification.
    • Prepare work pack for overhaul of Topside Marine Equipment.
    • Manage maintenance on offloading hoses string requirement and mooring system.
    • Maintain spare parts inventory and stock requirement for marine operations.
    • Champion maintenance analysis of planned and  preventive maintenance.
    • Prepare maintenance report to support top management decision in investment maintenance policy.
    • Work closely with procurement team to resolve technical issues surrounding spare part clarification from vendors concerning all marine spares.
    • Responsible for the updating of the Maintenance Plans, involve procedures drafting, drawings issuance, studies performance, spare parts identification reviews, tools reviews, documentation filing, binding, or data capture in computerized systems.
    • Support the Offshore Marine Operations team as requested in areas of own specialty, including drafting working procedures, maintenance programmes, and providing associated logistic support. As instructed, develops maintenance methods tools in own area of competence, analyses the works and practices, and suggests ways of optimization.
    • Performs technical studies in view of improving performance or upgrading the marine facilities.
    • Follows-up the technical problems raised, follows-up the technical and contractual files, as instructed, follows up the warranty claims and the implementation of the corrective actions.
    • Performs equipment performance analysis; develop and put in place enhanced condition monitoring programmes.
    • Follows-up the day-to-day activities of the offshore teams; remains available to provide them the assistance and support as needed.
    • Pays regular visits to the offshore site and participates to the jobs as required; may be involved in operational works including major shutdowns.
    • Provides assistance and logistic support as required for the provision of resources: vendors, additional manpower, services, tools, spare parts, consumables and other materials. 

    Profile

    • A marine engineer with extensive experience on FPSO maintenance.
    • Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities and campaigns essential.
    • Knowledge of DNV classification essential.
    • Good knowledge of SAP a benefit.
    • Ability to work on their own or in a team.
    • Management or supervisory experience beneficial. 

    Minimum level of experience required

    • 10 years or more

    • STCW Class 1 or equivalent

    Process Trainer

    Job description

     

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a Process Trainer to join its work force in Nigeria.

     

    Function:

    The Trainer-Coach-Assessor will devise, develop and deliver the training modules and manage the various resources required to meet the stated objectives of the training program.

    Role:

    • Process Operations  Trainer-Coach-Assessor-Verifier (TCAV)
    • Alternate Process Operations Team Leader
    • Team Building and Extra-Curricular Activities Facilitator

    Accountability & Responsibility:

    Process Operations Senior Trainer-Coach-Assessor

    • Development, delivery, assessment and verification PO training elements, including Specialist PO HES elements
    • Development and preparation PO Training Elements documentation for SPIE certification.
    • Site Authority for Process Operations training and work related activities requiring a Permit To Work.
    • Upkeep and maintenance of PO Practical Workshop, Equipment and Apparatus.
    • Upkeep and maintenance of all specialist practical PO HES training equipment.
    • Weekly/ Monthly PO Team meeting when required.
    • Monthly facility inspection of PO Training Equipment.
    • Coach the National Trainer in Process Operations training if Expatriate

    Prepare Process Operations Team Performance reports:

    • Daily:       PO trainee attendance, requested absence and medical absence record
    • Weekly:    PO trainee performance – exception reporting.
    • Monthly:   PO trainee performance report - progress against target.
    • Monthly:    PO training facility operations inspection, monitoring and performance report.
    • Quarterly: PO training and facility performance and quality improvement report.
    • PO Reference Library, CBT Training Library and any other Training Reference material.
    • Developing or acquiring PO Learning Reinforcement posters in the facility.
    • Coaching trainee teams conducting Task Based Risk Assessments for Practical PO Training.

    Team Building and Extra-Curricular Activities Facilitator

    • Actively facilitate Team Building Events.
    • Design, preparation and management of Team Building Events as and when required
    • Evaluates training, instructional materials, teaching aids and performance assessment effectiveness.
    • Assesses organizational needs and develops a facility management plan accordingly.
    • Applies good management practices to the training facility.
    • Conducts performance analysis to improve the training facility effectiveness.
    • Researches and facilitates the incorporation of technology to enhance the effectiveness of training.
    • Implements knowledge management solutions to enhance technology transfer and training efficiency.
    • Keeps well-informed of the company strategies and business plans, any changes in operating procedures and regulatory framework to ensure these developments are effectively incorporated into training processes.
    • Master Trainer-Assessor-Verifier:
    • Facility signatory for compliance to SPIE C

    Profile:

    A seasoned technical professional with a minimum of 10 years with an Oil & Gas multi-national Operator or Service Company. Worked as a responsible person in Process Operations (Ideally upto Supervisory level) and ideally with but not mandatory upto 5 years active training experience in Process Operations up to Engineering Level.

    The Process Operations Trainer will have the following attributes, training and qualifications:

    • Inspirational leader and articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal and man-management skills.
    • Motivated trainer dedicated to developing trainee talent: knowledge, skill and personal performance.
    • Creative and innovative technical professional continually seeking new ways to affect technology transfer.
    • Oil & Gas production operations, preferably covering both onshore and offshore facilities, oil & gas processing.
    • Broad spectrum of plant and process exposure.
    • Preferably with a recognized certificate, or experience, in competence assessment (to Level A1/V1).

    Minimum level of experience required

    • 10 years or more
