    Project Planner

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain the project schedule
    • Analyse engineering and design status and make recommendations
    • Analyse material and equipment delivery status and make recommendations
    • Analyse the performance of subcontractor and make recommendations
    • Establish logics, strategies and all links in project schedule
    • Development and implementation of progress/performance evaluation reports
    • Prepare construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning detail planning for the contract scope
    • Prepare estimates where required
    • Responsible to ensure that the potential of all contributing factors such as climate, geographic locations, cultural influences (e.g. Ramadan), local skill levels etc. are analyzed and incorporated into the construction schedule
    • Develop strategic milestones
    • Develop work sequence and task to support field construction activities
    • Develop and maintain the project PCMS Level 5
    • Responsible for the administration of the schedule controls for the project
    • Responsible to provide  progress reports as required

    Educational Qualification

    • BA/BS Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent.

    Industry Specific Experience:

    • 5 - 10 years of applicable experience.  Also, experience with typical project controls activity, demonstrated effective managerial experience, and computer literacy, is preferred.

    Job Specific Knowledge:

    • Manages one or more of the larger disciplines within the Project Controls unit such as Cost or Planning/Scheduling, or may manage all functions as Department Manager.  
    • Utilizes: widely diversified experience in project controls activities within the assigned discipline(s); proven leadership; a strong working knowledge of all industry practices; strong technical expertise; computer literacy in typical project controls software.

    Project Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Provides input to the development of engineering scope, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, monitoring progress to maintain those schedules and budgets.
    • Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the Project with other Project Engineers.  Coordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical and project support groups within the Company.
    • May assist the assigned Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of the technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study.  Helps determine the technical skills and staff hours required.
    • Ensures all engineering disciplines comply with client criteria, scope, Basis of Design and application of regulations and codes.
    • Understands the client's business goals and objectives in order to enhance the project work.
    • Prepares technical reports, and execution plans for sub-project activities, workshop charter, project manuals, and documentation of activity for the client and management.
    • Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and stewards Issues and Action items to ensure timely closure.
    • Review subcontractor / vendors documentation – plans and procedures, technical specifications. Etc.
    • Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to engineering and other disciplines
    • Ensures compliance with EMS, as well as application of change control process

    Educational Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND in relevant discipline.

    Industry Specific Experience:

    • 7 - 10 years of experience with degree from a recognized institution and 2 or more years in current position.

    Job Specific Knowledge:

    • Able to work independently in all situations within his/her respective engineering specialty.
    • Strong technical writing skills for original defense of engineering decisions and recommendations.

    Senior Instrumentation Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Enforce company policies, use of work practices, guidelines, relevant codes, recommended practices, regulatory and project standards to attain proficiency in the design development.
    • Prepare advanced instruments & control system deliverables by  complex calculations, modifying control logic and developing a functional description of the Process Control & Safety System
    • Provide procurement support by preparing Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations and reviewing vendor documentation for compliance and sub-contract approval.
    • Lead site visit work package planning and preparation. Perform site visit activities such as facilitating client interface, on-site data analysis, supervision and site-work coordination
    • Ensure discipline scope of work is executed in coordination with other disciplines and completed satisfactorily within scope, quality, schedule and budget, defined by the Project Management Plan
    • Provide technical direction and coordination for instruments personnel under direct supervision by reviewing deliverables to ensure conformance to engineering quality & technical accuracy.

    • Minimum of 8 years post qualification experience as a discipline engineer in the oil & gas industry with not less than 2 years offshore field experience inclusive

    Principal Technical Safety Engineer

    Primary Objective

    • To provide risk safety and loss prevention services to the various Worley clients.
    • Clients can be internal Worley business units or external clients.
    • To be responsible to the performance of projects assigned to both in terms of technical capability and commercial performance of the project.
    • To promote Worley Safety & Risk Management to clients to achieve follow-on work with existing clients and new work with prospective clients.

    Specific Accountabilities

    • Hazard and Risk Management.
    • To identify the safety engineering scope of work from basis of design.
    • To be able to determine and estimate norms to conduct the scope of work.
    • To be able to raise a suite of project deliverables including procedures, design basis and execution plan & schedules of activities.  
    • Network and inter-discipline departments. Interface management with the client.
    • Conduct HAZID workshops.
    • Lead HAZOP workshops.
    • Safety Review.
    • Fire & Explosion Analysis.
    • Loss Prevention related studies.

    Design Requirements for Safety Systems:

    • Design Safety Reviews / Studies, Layout, EERA, ESSA, F&G, Dropped Object, Hazardous Area.
    • Active Fire Protection Design (or knowledge of).
    • Passive Fire Protection Design (or knowledge of).
    • Ability to identify and raise suite of project procedures & deliverables.
    • CTR Management & progress reporting, Estimation of work scopes & CTR.
    • To Determine the Major Accident Hazard events and to apply a formalised approach of hazard management to identify and provide means of mitigation and reduction of such hazards.   
    • To take ownership of and provide direction to engineers through ability to prepare and author full suite of project safety deliverables.
    • Manage a team of professional and technical people.
    • Act as mentor to graduates, technicians and technical specialists.
    • Liaise with the local community and other stakeholders on all consulting matters.
    • Quality Assurance – Responsible for implementing the EMS V3.
    • Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

    Essential Skills/Experience

    • Engineering-related B.Sc.
    • 15 Years Minimum.

    Main Purpose of Role

    • To execute project work, either individually or as part of a team, covering a number of different areas of expertise within own discipline, provide technical leadership/guidance to others within the business and provide direct input to the commercial activities of the business.
    • Be able to deliver small consultancy projects from prospect to completion or head small to medium sized engineering design assignment.  

    Key Result Areas

    • Meet the requirements in terms of monitoring, reporting progress and successfully completing a task to the agreed budget and programme and to the right quality.  
    • Technically supervise staff, as directed by the Team Leader, to ensure that they in turn complete their task to the agreed budget and programme and to the right quality.  
    • Maximise profitability of own work and that being supervised by ensuring that it is carried out efficiently and effectively and that it is right first time.
    • Identifies, assesses and mitigates risks associated with own work and that being supervised, and reports to Team Leader, as necessary.
    • Ensures that own work and that being supervised in being carried out in accordance with the company EMS.
    • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients, as appropriate, to ensure that their needs are met.  
    • Provides a direct input to the business development and commercial activities of the business for work generally within own area of expertise.

    Problem Solving:

    • Day to day problem solving is around technical issues
    • Identifies and resolves technical problems encountered when executing own tasks and those being supervised, and knows when to consult with the Engineering groups.
    • Assists the Engineering group in recommending pragmatic and innovative solution to client problems.

    Planning, Organising and Control:

    • Is able to breakdown tasks to subtasks and develop a budget and programme for these subtasks.
    • Plans own tasks/sub tasks and those under their supervision on a day to day basis.
    • Continuously monitors progress against the plan and take appropriate actions to deal with any problems, cost overruns and delays, reporting as necessary.
    • Needs to maintain an overview of won work and that being supervised in order to identify, assess risks and mitigate risks.
    • Reports changes to the agreed scope of work to the Project Manager/Team Leader for a variation to be raised.
    • Ensures that the corporate Enterprise Management Systems (EMS) and relevant procedures have been applied to own work or that being supervised.

    Communicating and Influencing:

    • Ensures that Team Leader/Lead Engineer (where appropriate) is fully informed with respect to technical programme and cost issues.
    • Effectively communicates progress and discusses technical requirements or queries with Team Leader/Lead Engineer.
    • Maintains a constant dialogue with the client, if appropriate, to get feedback on performance, to understand issues and clarify requirements and to spot further business opportunities.
    • Communicate effectively (written or verbal) with staff under day-to-day supervision.

    Project Manager

    Description 

    • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project
    • Plans and defines project-specific strategic and financial goals, determines the resources required to achieve them, and directs the effort to acquire and retain those resources.
    • Participates in the development of project strategies in the preparation and review of major change orders and subcontractor bids.
    • Monitors all financial information and reports. At end of each period, reviews the financial performance of the project, the overhead performance reports, and the accounts receivable aging report to ensure accuracy and follow-up as needed.
    • Establishes annual salary increase budget within the constraints of corporate policy; approves all salary actions; monitors actual increases against budgeted increase throughout the year; approves all hiring and terminations; reviews and signs off on all annual performance reviews
    • Ensures that corporate Human Resources policies and procedures are followed
    • Participates in bid/no bid decision on major procurement activities
    • Participates in the preparation and/or review of all major proposals and bids; reviews and approves pricing; functions as the Principal-In-Charge on all major project proposals
    • Negotiates and signs all teaming agreements; approves all contracts and other documents binding  the company
    • Prepares annual project operating and capital budget requests and projections for review by the Regional Manager and corporate financial managers.
    • Supervises the work and performance of staff overseeing the repairs to and construction of office space and expatriate housing, furniture, electrical/plumbing equipment, tc..is completed efficiently and with least amount of disruption to the employees
    • Supervises the work and performance of the Project IT staff to ensure implementation, installation and upgrades of IT systems in support of the employees.
    • Supervises the work and performance of the Project Controls staff to ensure the implementation of Corporate PC policies and procedures in support of the project
    • Supervises the work and performance of the Document Controls staff to ensure the implementation of Corporate policies and procedures in support of the project
    • Supervises the work and performance of the staff to conducting activities related Travel and Expatriate accommodations
    • Supervises the work and performance of the Project HR staff to ensure the implementation of Corporate HR policies in support of the project.

    Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training

    • B.Sc. or HND in Business or Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge of 5 to 7 years of related experience. 

    Industry-Specific Experience:

    • 15 years of diversified and applicable experience, with demonstrated proficiency in management and business skills, is preferred.

    Job-Specific Knowledge:  

    • Provides management and direction for all facets of project support operations under administrative guidelines from the Program Director. Accountable for defining project strategic and financial goals and for project profitability.
