    Account Receivable Officer – Renewable Energy

    Reports to: Finance Officer

     

    Job Summary

    The Accounts Receivable Officer will be responsible for daily receipt application and Reporting, customer account management, and working with various departments in resolving discrepancies. This role will report to the finance Officer . This is an exciting opportunity to continue to develop your Accounts Receivable experience with a rapidly growing Renewable Energy Organization

    • Main Responsibilities
    • Actively manage various customer accounts and Prepare Invoices on ERP
    • Perform Accounts Receivable tasks including cheque collection, invoicing and Waybills, journal entries, account reconciliations, and customer queries
    • Develop, implement, Sort and organize data, updating customer records, accurately facilitating transactions and adjustments
    • Posting and ensuring that all sales transactions are correctly entered in the accounting system
    • Ensure that related sales contracts / documentation is properly filed and saved electronically.
    • Initiate adequate follow-up with customers and fellow employees in a timely manner
    • Monitor and Manage Inventory and stock Ledger Maintenance
    • Report and advise on stock Movement and re – order level on ERP
    • Submit Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual Report generated from the ERP accounting system
    • Maintain Project Records and fillings
    • Assist in internal and External Audit
    • Assist with Budget Preparation
    • Assist Accounts Executive in inventory reconciliation
    • Supports accounting operations by filing documents; reconciling receivable statements
    • When needed assist with the preparation of regulatory reports regarding transactions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
    • Engaging in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
    • Deliverables / Report:
    • Daily and weekly Management Sales Report
    • Monthly reports for all outstanding balances for accounts receivables and project
    • Monitoring and evaluation of actual balance of each accounts receivables and Inventory on ERP
    • Sending of correspondence to customer

    Who we are looking for:

    • B.Sc. or HND in Finance / Accounting
    • B.Sc. or HND in Finance / Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
    • Ability to use SAGE ERP software is an added advantage
    • Relevant Experience in the solar industry/Account receivable Role
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially in Excel
    • Good knowledge and understanding of accounting best practices
    • The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people within the company
    • An ability to prioritise and manage expectation
    • A keen eye for detail
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skill
    • Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplined team

    Accountant – Renewable Energy Sector

    Reports to: Executive Director

     

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a highly – skilled, detail – oriented accountant who excels at multitasking, who will act as a point of contact between the different part of the accounting department, including account payables, receivables and external parties, assist in preparing financial report, Taxes and audits, and resolving discrepancies. You should be analytical, collaborative and trustworthy.

    Main Responsibilities                                             

    The role is varied in its nature and will include working on a range of finance department responsibilities. Your responsibility will include:

    • Daily posting of assigned Financial transaction on SAGE ERP
    • Carrying out monthly payables and receivables reconciliation
    • Evaluate and Monitor Project cost and quotations
    • Preparing monthly Income statement (Profit & loss account)
    • Ensuring statutory remittance such as VAT, WHT and ensuring legal requirement are met before deadlines.
    • Reconcile bank statements
    • Coordinate and resolve various issues with bank such as cleared check differences, bank fee anomalies, targeted balance calculations and enhancements to online services
    • Apply technical accounting and regulatory knowledge to the preparation of management accounts and annual financial statements.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
    • Participate in financial audits
    • Assist in international and local procurement transactions and partnerships.
    • Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities in the organization.
    • Updating management regularly on new Government policies and IFRS and their impact on our business.
    • Review and implement financial policies
    • Update internal systems with financial data
    • Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management
    • Investigate financial variance issues.
    • Review and analyze general ledger.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders for appropriate cost estimating and forecasting.
    •  Ensure the month-end and year-end closes are completed timely and accurately.

    Who we are looking for:

    • B.Sc. or HND in Finance / Accounting
    • A minimum of 3 years’ Experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially in Excel.
    • General knowledge of accounting and financial statements
    • SAGE ERP experience highly preferred
    • Higher educational qualification / professional certification in Accounting (ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
    • Awareness of business trends
    • Good knowledge and understanding of accounting best practices
    • Experience in budget and forecasting is a plus
    • Good organisational skills.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
