    Finance Analyst

    Job Summary:

    • The finance department assumes responsibility for managing and reporting the organization’s finances. It is committed to continuous improvements in the way it organizes the financial and accounting affairs, including the preparation and presentation of appropriate accounts and the dissemination of financial information to executives.
    • The primary function of this position is to provide support for the ongoing accounting functions that include preparing reconciliations, payment processing and maintenance of accounts receivable spreadsheets.

    Job Description:

    • Overall responsibility and key contact for the strategic planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of a company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk and governance as well as negotiations
    • Advising on long and short-term business and financial planning
    • Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business in order to exceed business plan targets
    • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, Everything relating to cash flow, financial planning, and taxation issues.
    • Produce reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting, weekly, monthly and as when requested
    • Identify and implement opportunities for financial improvement across the organization
    • Analyze financial data and create/propose financial models for decision support
    • Guide the process by developing, establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
    • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
    • Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, to help the company make informed decision, including pricing, bonus, etc
    • Engaging and follow up with debtors and creditors
    • Support Fund-raising for the organisation and propose suggestions and recommendations
    • Guide revenue generation based on historical and market information
    • Analysing investment opportunities for W2A to consider

    Job Requirements:

    • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience
    • Post-secondary education in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
    • Experience using Quick Books, Tableau, Power BI and Zoho Expense would be considered an asset.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint);
    • Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks.
    • High attention to detail.

    Communications Associate

    Job Responsibilities

    • Write and optimise content for the website, newsletters, print publications and social networking sites.
    • Follow communications plan to post content on the organization’s social media platforms
    • Ensure consistency in terms of voice, branding, messaging and frequency of posting via digital channels.
    • Handle media enquiries and create effective news releases to gain positive press coverage
    • Develop and deliver well-executed and effective campaigns for all W2A Programs.
    • To develop working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and partners.
    • Work with Growth Lead to establish and monitor performance benchmarks and media cost with agencies.
    • Evaluate media efforts results and prepare measures of success.

    • Manage entire media budget activities and work within the budget
    • Write and edit content in a variety of formats, from product literature and presentations to thought leadership papers, press articles and corporate messaging, for traditional and digital media.
    • Writing/editing marketing and thought leadership content for a variety of formats, to engage and inspire the Private Bank’s clients and prospects globally.
    • Covering topics such as sustainability, investments, financial market trends and philanthropy, agro-commodity investments, maritime investment, trade potentials, while targeting investors, family offices and donor agencies.
    • Conduct research on the agricultural and maritime sector in Nigeria and other African countries
    • Gather data from various sources such as academic journals, industry reports, and credible websites

    Job Requirements

    • Post Secondary Degree in Communications or other related fields
    • Experience in effective management of online platforms and content development
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work in an action-oriented, cross-functional environment

    Job Description

    Job Responsibilities

    • Within the Programs Department, the Sales Associate is expected to:
    • Generate leads by organizing and participating in networking events and attending exhibitions
    • Manage a portfolio of partnerships within the policies of W2A
    • Provides strategic assistance to Program Officers, in developing strategies and processes, as well as in initiating and enhancing partnership relationships with multilateral and bilateral development institutions, foundations and the private sector
    • Build and develop relationships with potential and existing clients
    • Drive new sales, establish repeat business partnerships
    • Participate in organizing a range of high-profile events each year ranging from conferences, meetings, bespoke events and international tours.
    • Develop and update fact sheets, internal guidance notes, and engagement strategies on specific Welcome2Africa partnerships.
    • Create and implement the sales strategy
    • Work closely with the Programs and Research team to develop and maintain a partnership tracker.
    • Support partner follow-up schedule and ensure monitoring visits or emails happen in coordination with the Communications team and responsible program officers.
    • Spearhead sales of exhibition spaces, custom sponsorship packages and delegate passes
    • Strategize alongside the Programs Team to uncover fresh topics and revenue streams
    • Ensure the sales target for each event is achieved.
    • Support for Specific Projects
    • Working in partnership with the responsible Program Officer:
    • Collaborates in developing and writing proposals for investors;
    • Participates in negotiations with investors partners;
    • Helps in the preparation of the budget and ensures appropriate -recovery of administrative costs; and
    • Supports the monitoring of the performance of partnerships

    Job Requirements

    • Experience managing a sales team
    • At least 4 years of progressively responsible professional experience in sales, donor relations, fundraising and partnerships.
    • Ability to work across a broad range of geographical regions
    • Ability to build and strengthen and leverage a range of relationships using formal and informal opportunities. Collaborative spirit and ability to tactfully engage with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility and diplomacy.
    • Ability to plan, anticipate requirements, problems and obstacles, juggle competing priorities successfully, and work to tight deadlines with a high degree of autonomy.
