    Job description

    MISSIONS

    QHSE

    • Ensures HSE policy fulfillment during his activities
    • Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and Rules
    • Is responsible to ensures compliance with HSE Legislation, Company Standards and Procedures under his area of responsibility to ensure employees safety, legislative compliance, and responsible environment attitude
    • Ensures compliance with Operating Procedures & Guidelines with the asset to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety and Plan Integrity
    • Contributes to achieve and improve HSE targets
    • Performs the updating of technical documentation.
    • Gives his contribution in Hazard Analyses, incident investigations, Root Cause Failure Analyses, process incidents advising his hierarchy about HSE issues and proposing corrective solutions.

    MAIN ACIVITIES 

    • Monitor equipment conditions using all indications available in the control room, on site, and portable test equipment.
    • Diagnose equipment problems, report abnormal conditions to CSR, and prepare detailed work requests for plant defects.
    • Read, interpret, and implement technical information found in manufacturer's and OEM technical manuals, electrical and mechanical P & IDs, and operating and maintenance procedures.
    • Make daily checks to ensure safety and cleanliness of the plant is maintained to a high standard and ensure Equipment Operators carry out scheduled operational checks.
    • Conduct shift change by fully briefing the incoming Unit Operator and ensure all
    • Equipment Operators assigned to the plant under the control of the Unit Operator fully brief their reliefs.
    • Tests accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters or detectors, and other recording, indicating or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment, such as pressure gauges, mercury manometers, potentiometers, pulse and signal generators, oscilloscopes, transistor curve tracers, and ammeters, voltmeters, and wattmeter.

    OPERATIONS

    • Involve in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities.
    • Remove defective instruments from system, decontaminate, disassemble, clean, and reassemble instruments, and replace defective parts, using hand tools.
    • Lubricate instruments and replace defective wiring and tubing.
    • Calibrate readings on instruments according to standards and adjusts phasing and aligns stages to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function.
    • Record calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand.
    • Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.
    • Prepare, maintain, and administer procedures and reports related to the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the plant; maintain accurate logs of daily operation, check sheets, change charts and ink recorders.

    Profile

    • HND or equivalent in Electrical Electronics Engineering or any related discipline.
    • 6 Years minimum experience in such field.
    • Know how to make terminations, glanding, cable pulling and dressing.
    • Know how to read and understand P&ID and Instrument drawings.
    • Preparation of daily reports, manpower handling, coordination with supervision, communication skills, awareness safety in P&C projects.

    Cost & Project Controllers M/F

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Cost & Project Controllers to join its workforce in Nigeria. He/She will be required to:

    • Maintain and follow up on management, production and maintenance related costs including preparation of budgets, control and monitoring of expenditure, preparation of reports and analyses of costs.

    MISSIONS:

    • Prepares the EPC Project budget, resolving the, variances during the preparation period and coordinating budget discussions at all levels being the department focal point for cost control matters.
    • Receives budget schedule from Engineering & Technical Manager, integrating a detailed time-table for the various budget holders. Coordinates and progresses preparation with each site.
    • Collates and consolidates all cost inputs in one budget report. Prepares budget estimates and ensures that all budget figures are fully documented.
    • Participates in budget presentations. This includes preparing materials for the presentation, answering queries as required and taking notes for new budget revision.
    • Controls and checks all the invoices submitted by the Contractors and ensures sure that they are consistent with the contracts and supported by documents. Obtains necessary authorizations before forwarding for payment.
    • Keeps up-to-date cost records of all contracts held by Department. Advises the Managers and Superintendents in advance regarding the expiry of contracts.
    • Participates in the preparation of maintenance labor or turnkey contracts which involves liaising and corresponding with the Contracts Officer to prepare commercial and cost aspects tender documents and invitation to tender and assisting in evaluating bids.
    • Prepares reports and documents to be sent to Logistics Manager, such as accruals, authorization for expenditure, asset register changes, write off / disposal request forms, etc.
    • Reviews expenditure reports received from Project Manager, ensures that expenditures are properly monitored, and highlights significant variances between the budget and the actual costs.
    • Liaises with superintendents and engineers on financial procedures and systems, giving assistance when required. Liaises with Finance Department to ensure normal accounting procedures are followed.
    • Prepares various regular and as-hoc reports for Management information on Cost and expenditures, economic indices etc.
    • Develop / implement / revise various maintenance cost & financial procedures as required to ensure proper allocation of costs, reporting of cost, etc.
    • Provide professional advice and guidance to all Personnel with respect to Cost and Financial matters.
    • Undertakes other similar or related tasks and duties as directed by his Supervisor.

    Profile

    • Good written and spoken English.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business/Management
    • 5 years experience in Management including 2 years in contracts
