    Centre Manager- Business Innovation Accelerator

    Purpose of Position: 

    The Center Manager would be responsible for the management of administrative requirements as approved by the Governing Council.

    KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

    include but not limited to:

    • Overall management of all administrative systems, record keeping and governance processes to aid the effective running of facilities.
    • Analyze program risks and determining mitigants.
    • Space management
    • Oversight of routine planned, and preventative maintenance of the building facilities and outdoor space by staff, volunteers, or contractors.
    • Maintain, monitor, and commission work as part of cyclic or needs-based repair and refurbishment.
    • Manage and update a register of risk for facilities and update the Center Director.
    • Manage and monitor all health and safety aspects in the building and outside spaces as required by regulation or good practice.
    • Manage operational budget
    • First-line review of agreements with vendors and contractors
    • Liaise with Accountant, Media, and other direct officers regarding key deliverables.
    • Manage all ad-hoc staff that manages the facility’s varying capacities. Ensure that staff and volunteers can work collaboratively with each other.
    • Work in collaboration with other staff and contractors to establish marketing of facilities and good, serviced channels of communication about activities, events, and facilities available.
    • Deal with communications issues internally and externally
    • Develop a budget and operating plan for the program.
    • Manage budgets for the locations.

    COMPETENCIES REQUIRED. 

    To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following.

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, strategic planning, and writing skills are required.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
    • Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with attention to detail

    EDUCATION 

    • An MBA with relevant work experience (A PhD is an added advantage, given the research output expectations from the centre).

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of five years of professional experience in a lead management role.

    Specialist Digital Marketing Specialist

    Purpose of Position: 

    To create and manage the perception of LBS as a world-class brand with in-depth local knowledge of business and management among key stakeholders on all digital media platforms.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/KEY JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:

    • Manage the institution’s website for usability and effectiveness, ensuring timely, accurate and up-to-date content. Publish content uploaded by content owners in various units.
    • Monitor the website for traffic and usage patterns and provide data to improve effectiveness to ensure communication goals are met.
    • Develop and manage digital advertising campaigns for the institution to meet expected objectives.
    • Develop and implement a social media strategy to help the institution reach its goals.
    • Monitor all digital presence and ensure information accuracy across all platforms.
    • Monitor and analyze digital trends and new media for adoption.
    • Identify social media contributors and ambassadors within and outside the institution, and work with them to help the institution reach its goals.
    • Work with others in the team to create and share content (video, audio, graphic) for driving engagement with key publics on social media.
    • Monitor digital media (social media and other platforms) and respond appropriately to threats and opportunities.
    • Educate new users to social media within the community and drive a culture of social media excellence.
    • Implement periodic digital audits to ascertain brand adherence and monitor footprints.
    • Review and update website content for effective search engine optimization (SEO)

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

    • Monthly increase in website traffic generally, and from outside Nigeria specifically.
    • Sustained higher audience engagement on social media. (Retweets, shares, video views etc.)

    • Increase in the average amount of time spent on the website.
    • Timely responses to all digital inquiries

    COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

    • In-depth knowledge and experience in digital and social media management

    Assistant Marketing Manager

    Purpose of Position: 

    To focus on Marketing the E/MBA programmes, with a focus on the MBA and MMBA categories.

    KEY JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the social media platforms for MBA Marketing dept: Design and implement aspects of our digital marketing campaigns and advertising and execute the social media strategy.
    • Deploy web strategies, paid searches, email campaigns and innovative social media to improve awareness and increase recruitment success for EMBA/MEMBA/MMBA/MBA marketing.
    • Responsible for calling and following up on MBA/MMBA prospects to ensure they complete the application process before the end of each round.
    • Establish good rapport and build relationships with prospects. Follow through to conversion.
    • Database managements for intending and existing students: create new prospects records and daily updates of prospects records with information from front desk inquiry, phone call inquiry, email inquiry, referrals, and other sources. Excellent record keeping for transcripts.
    • EMBA and MEMBA Rounds of Applications: File and sort individual application documents for each round. Schedule applicants for interviews and LBS administered tests.
    • Respond to online enquiries within 48 hours.
    • Prepare reports on the marketing campaigns overall performance.
    • Support the Marketing manager in benchmark studies, research and competitive intelligence on competitive schools.
    • Any other specific or adhoc duty to be assigned by line manager from time to time on initiatives that support and promote the academic missions of the institution.

    COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

    Research Manager

    Purpose of Position: 

    To coordinate and manage LBS externally funded research. Implementing proactive administrative and operational strategies aimed at securing funding for the institution’s research projects and advising on regulations and policies on research funding. Provide leadership to the MSAs and the entire research group.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/KEY JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Critical Skills

    Leadership

    • Provide adequate leadership to the MSAs to achieve their target in the first two years of their career with LBS
    • Provide supervision, guidance and support to direct reports
    • Manage the performance of Research Assistants

    Research Skill

    • Evidence of scholarship in research. Must have published at least 5 papers in a peer review journal.

    Grant Proposal Skill

    • Identify prospective funding sources, new funding initiatives and support for current research projects.
    • Manage application for external research grant including proposal development, budgeting, completion of proposal forms, progress report submission, expenditure reconciliation, research compliance requirements, subcontracts, renewals, exit and sponsors term and conditions.
    • Liaising with funding bodies on their procedures, regulations, terms and condition to ensure these are adhered to in a timely and accurate manner.

    Others

    • Maintain liaison and effective communication and build beneficial relationship with individuals and organizations at various levels across the research community.
    • Provide technical support to the Research Director in strategic planning and implementation of policies and procedures to promote research activities in the faculty.
    • Identify prospective participants and coordinate development of faculty interdisciplinary research teams and proposals.
    • Develop and facilitate workshops, meetings or conferences that enhance research funding opportunities and profile.
    • Prepare substantive administrative reports and documents. Manage varying voluminous caseload of complex assignments and projects from multiple sponsors requiring deadlines and timely submissions.
    • Represent the unit in committees and relevant university meetings.
    • Oversee that institutions research outputs and academic publications are on the university website, ensuring accuracy and quality.
    • Any other specific or ad hoc duty to be assigned by line manager from time to time.

    • Rate of rejection of research proposals based on non-adherence to donor criteria.
