    Credit Control Manager

    Objective/ Purpose of Job

    • Effectively and efficiently, monitor the credit control policies of the organization in such a way as will maximize prompt settlement from customers and minimize losses through bad debts.
    • Ensure prompt and proper administration of our insurance claim policies. Ensure strict adherence to the approved trade terms of the organization.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • To ensure that there is an efficient system of credit procedures and controls including reconciling customers’ accounts and follow up of overdue debts, prompt and reliable invoice and statement distribution.
    • To design efficient debt collection procedures and ensure that these procedures are strictly adhered to at all CAP Plc sales outlets.
    • To discuss and resolve problems, queries and disputes arising on credit sales transactions.
    • To compute quarterly rebate for the Management approval and ensure prompt payment.
    • To visit branches and customers regularly to discuss and solve any problem being encountered on credit sales transactions.
    • To assess debtors quarterly and at year-end with a view to ensuring that adequate bad and doubtful debts provisions are made.
    • To liaise with the Finance Controller to ensure accurate reporting of debtors' situation.
    • To provide quality and timely management information on credit control.
    • To provide parameters for placing defaulting customers on stop list and ensure these are enforced.
    • To recommend debtors for legal action and liaises with Company Legal Department for all debts pursued through the courts.
    • To ensure that judgment given by the courts against the debtors are promptly followed up with the legal department
    • To age debts in accordance with the approved debtors' ageing analysis.
    • To ensure adequate insurance cover for company assets, review of asset portfolio report on status of claims to management and prompt reporting of our claims to the brokers.
    • To ensure compliance on company discount policies as approved by the management.
    • Ensure efficient day-to-day operation of the credit control department is maintained.
    • To investigate and rectify anomalies on the invoices, receipts e.t.c.
    • To assist in organizing consolidation of monthly financial accounts in order to ensure that all accounting returns and statements are submitted on due dates to management.
    • Perform any other duty assigned by the Finance Controller.

    Education and Years of Experience

    • First degree (with Hons) in Accountancy or related discipline plus ACA with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

    • The jobholder must be versatile in Sales and Marketing techniques, Financial Management and Corporate Finance, Database Management system.
    • In addition, the jobholder must demonstrate self-confidence and integrity, interpersonal and communication skills, good knowledge of the business.
    • Must also be good at information and customer management, and sound external orientation.

    Customer Experience Manager

    Mission of the Job

    • To strengthen CAP’s relationship with its core client groups – painters, interior designers, architects and building professionals such that our brands are the #1 brands recommended by these client groups.

    Develop a Client Experience Strategy document within a month of joining. The document should outline the following:

    • 2-year plan for winning with key client groups (painters, interior designers and architects).
    • Setup of Paint Application as a service and how to leverage technology in setting up this service at CAP’s retail outlet (“uber type service”)
    • Understand our key client groups, keep abreast of developments and changes with them, identify key opportunities to partner and boost relationship with these groups, and execute/coordinate the execution of initiatives that will position us to “win” with these groups.
    • Obtain approval of this strategy document and plan from CAP management and board (if required)

    Lead the execution of approved strategy

    • Achieve revenue target of Nxxx from paint application service across retail outlets in 2024.
    • Aligned plan enables a minimum of 500 building professionals to use our products in 2024 valued at XXX.
    • Organize periodic engagement sessions including focus groups, market visits, trainings with key client groups.
    • Position our brands as the most preferred and #1 recommended brand by painters and building professionals such as interior decorators, architects, quantity surveyors etc.
    • Review CAP’s existing Painters Academy and propose changes to ensure it becomes the defacto training school and certification program for Painters in Nigeria.

    Own and drive Painters Loyalty Scheme

    • Critically assess current state, identify opportunities to improve and then drive the acceptance and success of the scheme.
    • Sign up minimum of 2000 painters into the scheme 6 months post – launch.
    • Achieve N2b revenue via this scheme.

    Inventory Specialist

    • The job holder will have excellent understanding of the production costing system, product margin analysis and will be responsible for managing CAP’s inventory tracking and reporting.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Coordinate all activities of the Stock Control Unit:
    • Stock main/sub-ledger reconciliation
    • Physical/SAP stock balance reconciliation
    • Responsible for POS/Diesel and other inventory related items reconciliation
    • Processing of claims for stock losses/damages
    • Responsible quarterly stock-taking exercise
    • Ad-hoc discrepancy anomaly report investigation and stock adjustments
    • Faulty and expiring stock management
    • Stock provisions
    • Be involved in waste-to-wealth operation.
    • Implementation and review of stock policy
    • Constant monitoring of work-in-progress items.
    • To assess and evaluate stock and review adequacy of provisions in the books and recommend adjustment where necessary.

    Analysis of non-standard cost of sale accounts

    • BOM analysis
    • Variance investigation and analysis by SKU
    • Monthly weighted average price tracking.
    • Cost of sale data support for naked margin analysis

    Business Partnership

    • Provide data analysis and support for Logistics & Production
    • Monthly inventory flash.
    • Monthly Cost of Sales Allocation Analysis
    • Monthly Gross Margin Analysis.
    • Group insurance analysis support
    • Ad-hoc analysis

    Education and Years of Experience

    • BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Banking and Finance Economics or any related discipline.
    • ICAN or ACCA.
    • Five years’ experience of which at least three must have been in the manufacturing sector.
