    Executive Sales Manager - Tech Solutions

    Scope

    • An Executive Sales Manager is responsible for selling Semicolon products/solutions by identifying leads, educating prospects on products / solutions through calls, training, and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.
    • Our ideal candidate will generate and qualify leads, source and develop client referrals, prepare sales action plans, strategies, and schedule sales. He or she will be responsible for driving partnerships with corporate organizations in all sectors.

    Primary Relationships:

    • Reports to: CEO
    • Manages: Business Development, Sales Pipelines, Grants & other sales-related activities.

    Essential Job Functions
    Management:

    • Managing organizational sales by developing a business that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
    • Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
    • Coordinating with marketing and business development unit on lead generation.
    • Develop your sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
    • Track sales goals and report results as necessary.

    Knowledge and Opportunity:

    • Discover and connect with potential clients.
    • Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
    • Provide each customer with a unique solution for every customer in order to enhance top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.
    • Selling solutions and services using solid arguments and data to prospective customers
    • Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers

    Business Relationship:

    • Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales
    • Performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
    • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
    • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence

    Strategic:

    • Provides Strategic directions and guidance for the sales function of Semicolon and its sub arms
    • Devises strategies and techniques necessary for achieving sales targets.
    • Translate sales strategy into actual sales with measurable impact on profit performance.

    Operation & Leadership:

    • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
    • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
    • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports
    • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
    • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
    • Continuously improve through feedback
    • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
    • Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives

    Growth and Development:

    • Meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans, and justifying those plans to the upper management.
    • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with clients and understanding their needs
    • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
    • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
    • MSc in Business Administration, marketing, economics, or a related field is an added advantage.
    • 7-10 years of Industrial experience in sales within the tech industry is a must-have.
    • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
    • A commitment to excellent customer service.
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Knowledge of customer service principles
    • Knowledge of principles and practices of sales
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and exceed sales quotas
    • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
    • Knowledge of digital sales platforms
    • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
    • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.

    Brand Storyteller & Content Creator

    Description 

    • As a Brand Storyteller and Content Creator, you will be an integral part of our Brand Content team.
    • You will own the interpretive lens we use to communicate with our stakeholders both internally and externally and tell the unique stories within our community.
    • This role offers the opportunity to devise and develop truly unique and creative content in an environment where new ideas are cherished and amplified.
    • You will be asked to apply storytelling best practices and copywriting expertise to enhance our brand content creation and strategic efforts across all mediums.
    • You will develop a deep understanding of our brand voice and messaging guidelines and ensure all content and collaterals adhere to these principles.
    • You will work be required to research and collaborate with other members of the team and most importantly the community which involves other teams, current, and past students.
    • The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, capable of managing numerous projects simultaneously, and comfortable strategizing and creating content with an impact mindset. The job will be a mix of strategy and storytelling

    Job Responsibilities

    • Brainstorm, compile, and create community success and organizational-driven stories for social media and other digital platforms like our email newsletters and blog
    • Own and manage the calendar for Semicolon brand stories and identify the right formats for different stories
    • Identify and create brand-related stories for our corporate team to elevate their channels
    • Conduct storytelling-driven interviews with students, founders, alumni, business partners, and staff.
    • Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for content
    • Facilitating collaborations with potential media partners and industry experts to develop world-class thought leadership content.
    • Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new people or create stronger, more engaging content with the existing audience
    • Research the messaging strategies of our competitors, and remain up-to-date with industry-specific journals, press releases, white papers, media outlets, and other 3rd party content to inform our strategy and messaging.
    • Continually gather feedback and analyze the executed content to gauge content performance and plan for future storytelling projects

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, English Literature, Journalism, Communication, or a related field
    • Minimum of 4 years proven work experience as a storyteller, Content Writer, copywriter, or similar role
    • Portfolio of published articles/ works
    • Excellent verbal, writing, and editing skills in English
    • Extremely Creative and has a keen eye for details.
    • Comfortable in front of a camera and able to easily engage people
    • Experience doing research using multiple sources
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Proactive and a self leader
    • Willingness to multitask and take new initiatives.

    Salary
    Negotiable.
