    BU West Credit Manager

    The key purpose of this role is to track stock levels and ensure that the supplies are sufficient to meet the demand of customers. Other duties include checking stock levels, ordering additional stock and updating stock records. 

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    Leverage credit for volume, brand and market share growth by:

    • Communicating Credit offerings / Dec & Easter peak to OSM, DM’s, depot, sales and distribution teams
    • Determining Regional reach for each credit offering with input of depot sales and distribution teams and signed off (CM, FM, GM)
    • Monitoring Credit deals and providing feedback to Stakeholders
    • Identify and support Ad hoc volume opportunities to leverage credit for growth 

    Ensure high levels of efficiency in the AR customer payment transaction processing and customer account reconciliation and administration by:

    • Managing Credit service compliance to functional and process SLA
    • Providing training on credit policies and procedures to team members and regional stakeholders
    • Providing training on regional routine tasks
    • Responsible to deliver quality reporting to support credit management and CPI’s/KPI’s
    • Contribute to business decision support by agreeing and reporting on key finance focus areas as well as creating the Regional Annual Credit Business Plans

    Key attributes and competencies:

    • Provide specialized, quality risk management expertise and support by:
    • Reviewing and approving Credit limits, terms of trade and Risk assessments on new accounts, in accordance with mandate
    • Negotiating collateral to mitigate risk (high volume customers)
    • Approval and collection monitoring of negotiated settlement accounts
    • Approval and collection monitoring of accounts for hand over to Pre-legal and/or Legal
    • Review Regional debtors book, monitor trends and agree action plans with the CIC
    • Validation and approval of Bad debt write off proposal
    • Ensure Liquor License compliance in conjunction with CIC
    • Review and approve Journals for refunds, transfers between accounts, discounts granted not earned, promotional pay-outs and others
    • To foster and strengthen relationships and inter-dependencies with key stakeholders 

    Profile:

    Education

    • Relevant tertiary qualification (B Com/B Compt or equivalent) -CIMA/ CA/ CIA/ MBA preferred;
    • 7 – 10 years relevant senior credit management experience, preferably in an FMCG industry
    • Knowledge of SAP, or similar ERP type software

    Experience

    • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced
    • Excel skills and intermediate PowerPoint
    • Ability to manage diversity with strong leadership skills and a tenacious motivator to drive staff performance in the pursuit of excellence
    • Ability to effectively communicate at senior levels with external customers, Group / National Accounts, and various banks
    • Able to effectively communicate and interact with Regional stakeholders and Internal customers at all levels of the Company

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    Warehouse Checker

    The key purpose of this role is to load, unload and stack materials safely and efficiently while maintaining our governance and Customer service standards.

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    • Conduct pre-trip inspections prior to the start of each shift using the forklift inspection checklist.
    • Ensure that the forklift is operated and maintained in optimal condition
    • Ensure that fuel and fluids are at accepted operating levels
    • Department of Labour stacking exemptions complied with Site housekeeping standards maintained and adhered to
    • Appropriate personal protective equipment used as designated by site safety standards.
    • Warehouse stock age standards maintained by ensuring stock rotation principles applied
    • Ensures quality control through checking packaging on warehouse floor and prior to loading
    • Effective inventory management
    • Participation in handover process before and after every shift
    • Accurate daily stock count performed using handheld device
    • Generate variance report in SAP and resolve discrepancies
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with Inventory Manager, Controller and Supervisor
    • Accurate checking, loading and unloading of vehicles
    • Load Summary used to load correct quantities of split and full pallets
    • Shipment status updated in SAP
    • Accurate recording of returns on handheld device prior to unloading

    T2 Planning Analyst

    The key purpose for this role is taking the lead in Nigeria T2 planning activities, owning KPI’s & KPI improvements to ensure distribution targets are met for the Bu, optimization while ensuring compliance with standard operating processes in line with DPO standards.

    Key roles and responsibilities

    Manage:

    • Collaborate with the CXC core supervisor and Depots/Plants to set-up & maintain inter-related system platforms and master data maintained in SAP system and used as export into planning system
    • Review Master Data - Business descriptions - Process Mapping - Service Level Management - Routing Planning and tracking SLA’s - High Volume etc
    • WinRoute road-network database maintenance on correct speeds for data from Maps.
    • Effective utilisation of planning systems, creating daily distribution load plans Scheduling distribution load plans for multiple depots within prescribed time frame.
    • Assess daily out-of-standard Customer and Depot requests and set up meetings and Action logs to address the inefficiencies.
