About PATHS
The Partnership for Transforming Health Systems II (PATHS2) was originally a six-year (2008-2014) development initiative aiming to ensure that Nigeria achieves important health-related Millennium Development Goals. Implementation of the programme was extended by DFID to January 2015 in Jigawa, Kadun... read morea and Kano; and July 2016 in Enugu and Lagos.
Funded by UK aid from the Department for International Development, PATHS2 is working in partnership with the Government of Nigeria and other stakeholders to improve the planning, financing and delivery of sustainable health services for those most in need. In addition to its work at the federal level, implementation continues in Enugu and Lagos States, facilitating Public Private Partnerships. PATHS2 follows the successful PATHS, which was implemented from 2002 to 2008.
PATHS2 is managed by a consortium of organizations led by Abt Associates in partnership with Options UK, Mannion Daniels and Axios Foundation. In collaboration with development and other implementing partners, the programme is implemented to strengthen health systems and improve service delivery for Nigerians-particularly women and children.
