Coastline Micro Finance Bank Limited started as a community bank some 16 years ago with its head office located at No. 1, Ekpen Road, Okere - Warri, Delta State. The Bank was issued full banking license as a community bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in May, 2004. With the Federal Government’s Micro-Finance Policy introduced in December, 2006 with the directive that all Community Banks should convert to Microfinance Banks by increasing their capital base from N5,000,000.00 (Five million naira) to N20,000,000.00 (Twenty million naira), Okere Community Bank was issued provisional approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria to convert to a Micro Finance Bank in June 2007. The Bank got Final Banking License in December 2007 to operate as a micro finance bank with the name Coastline Micro-Finance Bank Limited.
