    Workshop Manager

    Mechanic On The Go, a leading automotive maintenance company in Ikeja, Lagos, is seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee repair operations both within the workshop and outside premises. As the Workshop Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring repairs are carried out effectively, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. If you have a passion for automotive maintenance, strong leadership skills, and excellent customer service abilities, we want to hear from you.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Repair Management:

      • Oversee repair operations within the workshop and outside premises to ensure they are conducted effectively and efficiently.
      • Coordinate with technicians and mechanics to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
    2. Customer Car Handling:

      • Drive customer cars from their house to the workshop and back after repairs, ensuring safe and responsible handling of vehicles.
      • Obtain a valid driver's license if not already possessed, to fulfill driving duties.
    3. Customer Communication:

      • Communicate with customers to understand their concerns and provide updates on repair progress.
      • Explain repair procedures and findings to customers in clear and understandable terms, both in basic and advanced automotive terminology.
    4. Diagnostic Abilities:

      • Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to diagnose issues with customers' cars accurately and efficiently.
      • Provide recommendations for repairs or maintenance based on diagnostic findings.
    5. Quality Assurance:

      • Ensure repairs are completed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
      • Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of repairs.

    Qualifications:

    1. Experience: Proven experience in automotive maintenance or repair, with a background in workshop management preferred.
    2. Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, or the ability to obtain one promptly.
    3. Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and provide exceptional service.
    4. Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques, with the ability to diagnose and explain issues effectively.
    5. Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of technicians and mechanics.
