Transport Officer at Kloverharris Limited

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Transport Officer with a proven track record in managing MAC ready-mix trucks.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MAC ready-mix truck operations and will be able to effectively plan, organize, and coordinate the movement of trucks to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of a fleet of MAC ready-mix trucks.
• Develop and implement transportation plans and schedules to optimize truck usage and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to ensure that trucks are available when and where needed.
• Manage truck driver assignments and ensure that drivers are properly trained and equipped.
• Monitor truck performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct regular inspections of trucks to ensure that they are in safe and working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of truck maintenance and inspections.
• Comply with all applicable transportation regulations.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth flow of materials and equipment.
• Manage fleet of truck drivers and operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma
• 5+ years of experience in transportation management role.
• Strong understanding of MAC ready-mix truck operations
• Experience with transportation planning and scheduling software
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid commercial driver's license
