    Technical Specialist – AGYW

    Position Summary

    • The Technical Specialist - AGYW will be responsible for technical oversight of the Adolescents Girls Young Women component of the NEPWHAN Global Fund program.
    • This includes the design, implementation, and monitoring of sound technical strategies and interventions targeting AGYW and HIV Prevention as well as ensuring the integration of interventions with the other key program areas.

    Essential Job Functions/ Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Serves as the lead technical expert on the delivery of prevention services to AGYW. S/He will provide expert guidance on appropriate technical and programmatic approaches for scale up of prevention and other sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services for AGYW.
    • Lead interventions related to HIV Testing Services treatment, care, and support services for Adolescent Girls and Young Women.
    • Provide oversight and support to Community-Based Organizations to ensure layering of services for HIV prevention in AGYW.
    • Recommends evidence-based improvements in the delivery of AGYW and Prevention services.
    • Work with the PR and other SRs to ensure that AGYW interventions are fully integrated into the program design and activities, including monitoring and evaluation.
    • Ensure engagement with civil society organizations representing the interest of key and vulnerable populations.

    Minimum Requirements and Desired Qualifications

    • Degree in Medicine, Public Health, or any related field with 3 - 5 years post-NYSC experience.
    • Experience implementing Adolescent, Girls and Young Women interventions with a reputable organization.
    • Demonstrated experience in Global Fund HIV prevention programs targeted at vulnerable populations.
    • Background in capacity building (training, mentoring, technical assistance provision) is an added asset.
