Technical Co-founder at Alexander George Business Support Solutions (AGBSS)

Our client, a tech start-up in the Digital Commerce space is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Co-Founder to join their team and help build a successful tech startup. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's technology strategy, overseeing the development of all software products, and managing the technical team.

As a Technical Co-founder, you will be responsible to translate the client’s product vision into a technology roadmap, hands-on, with a full stack background, and a passion for distributed and scalable architecture, you will put best practices for development, dev ops, and cloud automation.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the founding team to understand the company's goals and objectives;
• Develop and implement the company's technology strategy and roadmap;
• Oversee the development of all software products, ensuring that they meet high standards of quality, reliability, and usability;
• Manage the technical team, including hiring, training, and mentoring employees;
• Work with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to ensure that technology is aligned with business goals;
• Ensure that the company's technology infrastructure is secure and scalable;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and develop new software applications;
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, C#, .NET, SQL Server, Ruby, and HTML;
• Develop and maintain software documentation, including specifications, user manuals, and technical documentation;
• Test and debug software applications to ensure high-quality products;
• Participate in code reviews to ensure that all code meets coding standards and is of high quality;
• Contribute to the improvement of our software development processes and methodologies;
• Manage relationships with external technology partners and vendors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Proven experience as a software engineer, software developer, or technical lead, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development;
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, .NET, SQL Server, Ruby, and HTML;
• General knowledge of computer science and software development concepts;
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as integration servers, testing tools, containers, monitoring and analytics programs, and network protocols;
• Strong automation skills with both manual and program testing;
• Analytics skills to determine security needs, diagnose technical problems, and develop software updates to fix issues;
• Understanding of creating and modifying software codes by using tools such as Git, GitLab, and GitHub;
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing a technical team;
• Experience with web development frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js;
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud;
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively;
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
• Experience with database systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL;
