    Staff Assistant

    Job Summary

    • We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Assistant with procurement, bidding, and contract management experience to join our client’s team at Central Business District, Abuja. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement and contract management functions of the company, ensuring efficient and compliant processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and evaluating bids.
    • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
    • Coordinate and manage the bidding process for goods and services.
    • Prepare and distribute bidding documents to potential suppliers and contractors.
    • Facilitate bid openings and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the process.
    • Support the preparation, review, and execution of contracts.
    • Monitor contract compliance and ensure that all parties fulfill their obligations.
    • Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions as needed.
    • Provide general administrative support to the team, including organizing meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
    • Maintain an organized filing system for procurement and contract documents.
    • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
    • Update relevant parties on the status of procurement and contract matters.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement and contract activities.
    • Stay informed about changes in procurement laws and regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in procurement, bidding, and contract management.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of procurement laws and regulations in Nigeria.
