    Senior Consultant(People, Tax and Advisory)

    Role Description

    • As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for coordinating engagement teamwork while performing all duties assigned as part of your regular work.
    • You are to ensure that the day-to-day tasks are being carried out properly as per client requirements or needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the computation and supervision of payroll management and employee regulatory processes in different industries, including manufacturing (FMCG), oil and gas, and financial services.
    • Render professional advice and develop appropriate tax plans/strategies/policies best suited to clients’ businesses and conforms to state and federal tax statutes.
    • Be required to proactively interact with key clients’ management to gather information, resolve tax, regulatory and human resources compliance-related problems, and make recommendations were necessary for compliance improvements.
    • Responsible for the computation, compilation, remittance and filing of taxes (Transaction and PAYE) and statutory deductible obligations (ITF, NSITF and NHF) on behalf of clients.
    • Routinely conduct pre-tax audits prior to statutory audit exercises and advise clients accordingly.
    • Respond to and liaise with statutory tax authorities on tax-related issues, queries, and litigations.
    • Provide strategic analysis for payroll-related initiatives and projects including user requirements for the development of an enterprise payroll management platform.
    • Participate actively in risk assessment procedures on regulatory matters as they affect businesses.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related field (Minimum of 2nd class).
    • A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Personal Income, Tax Compliance and Advisory Matters.
    • Professionally certified in CITN/ACCA/ICAN.
    • Excellent organizational and people skills.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • High attention for details and accuracies.
    • Ability to follow-through and work independently as well as within a team structure.
    • An energetic and proactive attitude.
    • Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Possess excellent written and oral skills.
