    Sales Manager (Small Business)

    Description

    • We are looking for a talented Sales Manager, who has in-depth knowledge and experience with the sales process, excels at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.  
    • As the Small Business Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team focused on Small Businesses (< 20 employees).
    • You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
    • This position requires an understanding of the health insurance industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with SME clients. 

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales Strategy Development:

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals. 
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers. 
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns. 

    Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team. 
    • Set clear individual and team sales targets, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure targets are met. 
    • Provide mentorship and training to ensure the team’s continuous improvement. 

     Client Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with SME clients to understand their needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. 
    • Address client concerns and inquiries promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. 

    Sales Performance Metrics: 

    • Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the sales team. 
    • Analyze sales data and provide regular reports to senior management. 
    • Develop and manage the sales department budget effectively, ensuring cost-effective use of resources to maximize profitability. 

     Sales Process Optimization: 

    • Streamline and optimize the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness. 
    • Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance sales performance. 

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role selling a product to SMEs in Nigeria.
    • Health insurance experience is a strong plus. 
    • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies. 
    • Quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and a track record of success, who can inspire the same in others. 
    • Analytical and strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset. 
    • Familiarity with Zoho CRM software and sales performance metrics.
