    Registrar

    Responsibilities

    • The Registrar, as a Principal Officer, is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University, except with regards to matters of finance to which the Bursar is responsible.
    • The person holding the office of Registrar shall by Virtue of that office, be Secretary to The Council, the Senate, the Congregation and Convocation.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should have minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University.
    • Possession of postgraduate qualification and membership of professional bodies would be an added advantage.
    • Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years administrative experience and at least ten (10) of which must be at University level.
    • Candidates must be 60 years or below on appointment and must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.
    • Candidates must command respect and have the ability to provide leadership and offer appropriate advice on matters affecting the University.

    Terms and Conditions of Service
    The Registrar shall hold office on such terms and conditions as may be specified in his/her instrument of appointment.

    Method of Application

    Format of Curriculum Vitae
    The following format should be used for preparation of Curriculum Vitae:

    • Full name with surname capitalized
    • Date of birth, town and state of origin
    • Nationality
    • Current postal address (including GSM number and email address)
    • Permanent home town address
    • Marital status
    • Institutions attended with dates
    • Academic qualifications (degrees with classes-copies of certificates to be enclosed)
    • Teaching, research, administrative and managerial experience
    • Academic distinction
    • Membership of academic and professional bodies
    • Scholarly publications, the link to Google Scholar, ORCID, SCOPUS and Research Gate
    • Names and addresses of three (3) referees who should be able to attest to the candidate’s academic and managerial abilities as well as his/her moral character and uprightness.
