    Medical Liaison (Pharmaceutical Company)

    About Our Client:

    Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company based in Lagos, Nigeria, dedicated to developing and commercializing innovative medicines to address unmet medical needs. With a focus on scientific excellence and patient-centricity, our client collaborates with healthcare professionals and researchers to advance medical science and improve patient outcomes.

    Role Summary:

    As a Medical Liaison at our client's pharmaceutical company, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and medical institutions to support the exchange of scientific and medical information. You will play a critical role in providing medical education and support, facilitating clinical research, and promoting evidence-based medicine.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and medical institutions to support scientific exchange and collaboration.
    • Provide medical education and support to healthcare professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders on disease areas, treatment options, and clinical data.
    • Serve as a scientific resource and expert on our client's products, providing accurate and up-to-date information on product characteristics, clinical trials, and safety profiles.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing, to support the development and execution of medical strategies and initiatives.
    • Facilitate investigator-initiated research (IIR) and company-sponsored clinical trials, providing scientific and logistical support to investigators and study teams.
    • Monitor and analyze scientific literature, clinical trial data, and competitor activities to stay abreast of developments in relevant therapeutic areas and provide insights to internal stakeholders.
    • Represent our client at medical conferences, advisory boards, and scientific meetings, presenting scientific posters and presentations and participating in panel discussions.

    Requirements:

    • Medical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical affairs, medical liaison, or related role within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
    • Strong scientific knowledge and understanding of clinical research methodology, pharmacology, and therapeutic areas relevant to our client's products.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
    • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
