Marine Engineer at Jotna Nigeria Limited

We are recruiting to fill the position below for Jotna Group: -

JOB SUMMARY

• Marine Engineer will ensure 100% availability and uptime of all marine vessels/engines/assets/equipment/spares etc. He will also be responsible for the overall electrical and mechanical preventive maintenance of above.
• Manage breakdown maintenance on case basis and drive reduction of same.
• The Marine Engineer will be responsible for safety and management of the company assets and staff in his area of work. Be the single point of contact to the company and accountable for his area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Asset Management and Maintenance
• Evaluate the operation of marine equipment regularly
• Have all company boats working and ready for use without any downtime.
• Maintain and coordinate repair of marine machinery and equipment for installation on company boats and jet skis.
• Schedule machine overhauls and the servicing of electrical, mechanical, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, water, and sewage system.

Training

• Ensure regular training of captains and Staff.
• Manage Others
• Coordinate activities of the captains and other staff so fully optimised.
• Act as a single point of contact for boat captains and shore personnel in order to ensure that schedules and budgets are maintained, and that boats are operated safely and efficiently.
• External vendors.
• On Duty weekends to Captain CEO & Family.
